Horrible experience
We stayed here for 24 days between selling our house and moving into our new house. We live close to this area, so we knew it wasn’t the best neighborhood but it was a gated complex so we felt comfortable renting it.
Day 9- There was a fight in the parking lot and also a DEA bust with unmarked vehicles and agents in tactical gear. We also mentioned to our contact of a very strong smell of weed in the apartment. We have absolutely no moral judgement against weed, but we have 2 small boys plus we didn’t want to be blamed for it. A strong smell here is an understatement.
Day 10- Fridge/Freezer went out and spoiled all of our food. Apartment was notified and they “fixed” it. (to be continued)
Day 11- My wife’s car was towed overnight. There were no No parking signs where she was parked. We found out from the apartment manager that all residents have parking passes- we were never told about this or where to park. We both missed a whole day of work to retrieve the vehicle. There are only about 12 visitor spots for the entire complex that we needed to use, and several nights after, they were completely filled, so we were forced to park illegally again, with the possibility of getting towed again. We also found out by the manager that apartments here are not allowed to be sub-letted. She let us remain but notified the the person we were renting it through.
Day 19- Fridge went out again, they didn’t come out to fix it for 3 days, stating we weren’t there so they couldn’t come in. Even though they fixed it the last time with nobody there. Once again, we lost all of our food and the apartment stunk of spoiled food.
Needless to say, this was a horrible experience.
