There was rain, they would not give us a ride to the airport 10 min away, so we had to pay for a Lyft. I booked it for the shuttle service. I asked at the desk if we needed to say one more night if our room was even available. She said to book it and pay cancellation fees if don’t end up staying. What?!? I was in person asking if it was available? Pay cancellation fees through Expedia if I want to book it and not end up staying? The room was nice and the kitchen was very clean and nice. Property had homeless coming up asking for Shoes.

I knew from the beginning when I spoke to the driver and she barely spoke acted like she had an attitude this would be a terrible place to stay. My first issue was they don’t specify in their description they only pick up and drop off from one hotel in Houston and Expedia made my flight leaving from the other hotel. As far as the room goes it was average I would definitely buy plastic silverware for your stay and/or your own dish rags (they use a sponge that obviously has been used multiple times), there was left over food on the dishes put away in the kitchen from the previous visitor. Microwave was dirty with crumbs and old food inside. Crumbs in between the fridge. Sheets had yellow specks on them and when you ask for new towels/bedding they act like it is an issue because they have signs posted trying to “save water” they want to replace linens every 3 days. Gym is not actually a gym it is 1 bike and 1 treadmill. Breakfast is trash what they call a “hot breakfast” is waffles you make with the iron, half done sausage and nasty eggs.

We were a party of 3. All over 70 years old with pickup from the airport with 2 scooters. The young female driver just watched and did not offer to assist. She stated no one informed her there were scooters. I had when I requested the pickup. Another transporter from another hotel assisted. They had to make 2 trips. A different older (perhaps her mother) female driver came and she wasn't much help either. There was no luggage rack for the luggage at the hotel. Thank God for the shift change and a male desk clerk offered to help with the luggage as the initial female clerk did not. He was extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a microwave. When we checked out, I asked if the driver could park the van near our room because there was a ramp for the luggage and scooters. I was informed they only pickup from the lobby. Upon existing I realized the van was only about 5 parking spaces from our room. It had to drive to the lobby. It would had been easier for the driver and us to board closer to the room. This male driver was courteous, very helpful, and he refused the tip we offered. None was offered to the 1st two drivers nor did they deserve any. I wanted to give them one star but I could not change it

Room was very neglected three out of the four nights we had roaches that were in the room they supposedly cleaned it and sprayed never happened. Had a mold smell when you first walk in or anytime you had the AC on. Anytime that I try to talk with the manager no response or never on the property never came into clean the room or anything. Had to go find a maid to get fresh towels. Whenever I finally got a hold of somebody, they said roaches were normal for Texas. I grew up in Oklahoma in Texas and no, it’s not normal and when you call corporate to get any type of compensation or any dealings with the hotel, they say you have to contact the property itself. How do you run a hotel chain if you can’t call corporate on a hotel.
