Shortest Stay Ever
The first thing I noticed upon my immediate visit to the bathroom was that there were no towels provided. I don't travel with my own bath towels and wash rags. Then there was the single roll of toilet paper, which wasn't even a full roll. TP is another item I did not pack for my trip. The worst thing about the bathroom was that I had to wipe off the toilet seat before using it. That's all I care to remember about the bathroom.While my brother and I searched for towels and TP, it became apparent that the bathroom wasn't the only room to escape a good cleaning. I'm no diva, nor do I expect to walk in on a red carpet, but I do expect CLEAN accommodations, especially in light of the rate I was charged. The kitchen table and counters had food crumbs on them, and there were dirty dishes in the sink. The floor was so sticky I could've sworn I was walking on a soda-covered movie theater floor. There was a mop and bucket sitting next to the kitchen table; perhaps cleaning the house ourselves was supposed to be part of the "charm" of staying there. In an attempt to say something positive, it is a nice house, or at least it would be if anyone bothered to clean it. Also, the neighborhood seemed pleasant. If you're going to charge people to stay in your home, please put some effort into this venture. ANY effort. I won't get a refund over this, and we ended up paying more money to find an inhabitable place. Do better.
