Its garden of 80 m2 as well as the shaded parking between the rue des Mascottes and the garden allow children to play safely. The ocean is 12 km or 20 minutes by car and 30 to 45 minutes by the bike path. Bordeaux and the Arcachon basin are 1 hour drive, the ferry to Royan 45 minutes. Along the Gironde estuary, 20 minutes are the vineyards and castles of the Medoc. The accommodation comprises a living room, a kitchenette, bathroom and water and wc on the ground floor, first floor bedroom with double bed 140, a second bedroom with 2 bunk beds, a toilet with sink. TV, radio, microwave, mini oven, stove, refrigerator, washing machine, mini-freezer, electric grill, outdoor barbecue, covered terrace. The residence is not equipped with wifi. The village of Hourtin is 2 km, markets on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Accueil sympathique par le frère du propriétaire, avec quelques « légumes du jardin » en cadeau de bienvenue. Notre première activité : aspiration du rez-de-chaussée, puis lavage de la nappe de table intérieure, avant de constater l’état du reste du logement : globalement pas propre : cheveux sur le sol, lunette des WC non fixée, caillebotis dans la salle de bain sale (de même que l’arrière des WC…), odeur de renfermé, barbecue électrique non nettoyé, une balayette à WC qui traine dans le « local à surf ». A la fin du séjour, le propriétaire, antipathique et limite agressif, fait un inventaire exhaustif, (alors qu’il n’y a eu à l’arrivée, ni inventaire, ni listing du matériel présent et en fonctionnement). Il manquerait 2 serviettes de bain. Par ailleurs, nous n’aurions pas dû brancher notre véhicule hybride sur une prise du logement (moins de 1 euro la charge) ; ce n’était « pas à lui de payer le rechargement de la voiture ». Sans doute n’aurions pas dû également brancher nos téléphones portables ou notre ordinateur. Heureusement, nous n’avions pas nos VTT électriques, ou une Tesla avec laquelle nous n’aurions pas pu rouler. Nous apprenons également à la fin de notre séjour que nous aurions dû laisser une caution (alors qu’elle est déjà incluse dans le contrat avec abritel). Nous n’avons JAMAIS eu un tel contact (cf notre notation sur abritel). Le touriste n’est pas un pigeon. C’est dommage, car le logement est bien situé, proche des commerces, du port et du lac. ##### frederic f.
