What a wonderful place to stay. The house is spacious with ample room for preparing and enjoying big family meals. The rooms are clean, warm and cosy. Plenty of clean linen and towels. The garden is huge with so much space for the kids to run around, camp and play sports. The beach is easily accessed by a track at the bottom of the garden.
During the day there is plenty to do, Houhora is only a short drive if you're needing to top up on more supplies such as bait or beer. Great looking cafes and the pie hut was a hit.
Our four year old twins were entertained on the beach most part of the day. The teens played in the rock pools and spent their time gathering kina, and spotting squid, rock cod, crabs and eels. A member of our whanau caught a massive snapper off the rocks in front of the house. In the evening it was lovely to listen to music whilst cooking and having a glass of wine. Very private. Would definately stay here again. The host Mark was very accomodating and easy to communicate with. Thanks very much. We had a great time.
