beautiful setting. first time glamping and we enjoyed it. AC in both bedrooms worked surprisingly well in the middle of a hot texas summer. very responsive hosts. will be back in the fall!

I really enjoyeddd myself it was so nice and peaceful. They do need to clean that actual tent itself it has a lot of dark spots on it . It has such a beautiful view ! I would go back for sure .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an amazing experience at The Retreat on the Hill near Austin. The place was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything felt cozy, clean, and well taken care of, and the atmosphere made our anniversary even more special. Thank you for the unforgettable stay. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at the Bay cliff house and everything about it was perfect as described with the exception of electrical issues I had the first night with no staff available nor onsite neither over the phone to assist as it was after hours and no 24/7 support. Beautiful view and great space to disconnect and unplug as I needed

My only issues were that the ties and clasp were broke on the Tipi (bedroom) and the same Tipi had a little bit of mold present on the fabric. These were not huge concerns but something that needs to be addressed. I did have a discussion with the maintenance person before we departed and they stated these concerns would be addressed. He was more concerned about water getting into the Tipi because of the rain which was truly not an issue. The property is well maintained and the bathroom was really clean.

The property looks beautiful on social media and Expedia, and the cabins are aesthetically pleasing. However, there are a few things I wish I had known before booking. The property is right next to a busy road, so expect constant traffic, sirens, and even helicopters. Privacy is very limited, as the cabins and domes are close together, with guests and maintenance staff frequently walking by. Security was also a concern for us, as the cabin doors have only simple sliding bolt locks, and the property’s fence and gates are easy to bypass. There’s also very little to do on the property itself, no walking trails, nature walks, or outdoor activities without getting in your car and driving somewhere else. The rooms look nice but lack practical amenities like a table or even hooks to hang your belongings. The Echo/Alexa device in our cabin was so dirty that I didn’t even want to touch it and ended up cleaning it myself. We still had a good time, and I’m sharing this simply because I would have appreciated knowing these things beforehand. I think it’s helpful to have realistic expectations before booking.

This property exceeded expectations! I honestly had no clue what we were getting into. We pulled up and it was beautiful! We are sorry we didn’t get there early enough to explore more before dark. Then, it rained so we didn’t get to sit out and enjoy the view. But we need the rain, so we’ll take that. It gives us an excuse to come back! We may try one of the other rooms next time just for a different experience.

We loved the property but it is not worth the price! The arrival and check in process is clumsy at best and there is ZERO information in the many emails and messages received from the property. I was having to call or message about WiFi, how to operate the AC units, where was this and where was that because NO information was shared in all the emails and messages and there was NO information in the unit. On top of this, Waze sent us to the wrong place but we could see the property and finally found the entrance. Who doesn't work with the map services to insure proper directions for their guests????
