Fredericksburg and all the hill country vineyards are within an hours drive of the property. Horseshoe Bay Resort has become a large draw with fun events and concerts as well as weddings. Marble Falls is 15 minutes away and has a lot of the fun restaurants, bars and night life. Getting Around: Getting around Horseshoe Bay and the surrounding Texas Hill Country is best done by car. The only problem we encountered was the upstairs bedroom was super hot! They brought us a fan after 4 hours but it didn't help. Yes it's hot in Texas right now but the upstairs bedroom wasn't comfortable or cool for sleeping. Would suggest a mini split upstairs. Everything else was great! There were missing photos of the lake access which was off the backyard and a nice feature to have, but the access is very shallow and we had trouble getting our boat to the dock.
