A great location with everything you need! This condo has everything you could need for your beach stay & is within walking distance of Mama's Fish house, what more could you need!
We enjoyed our stay at this North Shore Maui condo. It was clean, comfortable and had all the conveniences we needed to be able to kick back and enjoy our stay. We stayed two nights and enjoyed a day trip to the Road to Hana, an afternoon lunch as Mama's fish house (need to make reservations ahead ...
The unit was in a great location for us. We love Paia town and it was a nice stop before heading to meetings in a nice resort. The unit has been renovated nicely and is well equipped. The photos are accurate. The building is a little dated, but there is evidence that other units are getting fixed ...
I booked this condo for my parents 30th anniversary and they loved it! They said it was very clean and comfortable, they also mentioned that it was conveniently located near beaches and the town of Paia. The owner Cheri was so gracious, she even had anniversary gifts waiting for them! Cheri also ...

Valerie and Craig are the ultimate hosts! This beautiful ocean view cottage was exactly what we were looking for when we decided to stay in Paia. Both were available and willing to offer advice or ask if we needed anything. The cottage was well stocked with all the conveniences of home and the attention ...
Less than a 20-minute drive out of Kahului in the small town of Paia, the Hookipa Beach Park is one of Maui Island’s best wind-surfing spots. Professional competitions take place on the beach, and wind surfers are regularly seen navigating the waves just off the shore. The Hookipa Beach’s strong rip tide and wind conditions make it suitable for only skilled surfers.
Hookipa Beach Park is popular with the non-surfing set as well, especially as it is one of the best spots on Maui to see Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. During winter, humpback whales are regularly visible just off the shore. There are also plenty of shallow rock pools for kids to explore, so, with the picnic pavilions, showers and toilets also on the beach, you can easily stay for the day.
Situated close to the Hana Highway, many visitors stop off in Paia before they continue on the iconic Road to Hana road trip. Once a sugar town, Paia now has plenty of trendy fashion boutiques, contemporary surf shops and hip restaurants.
The closest hotels and resorts to Hookipa Beach Park are in Paia and Kahului, a 20-minute drive away. Accommodation on this part of Maui Island tends to be mid-range and family friendly with hotels offering pools, gardens and barbecue grills.
The modern rooms and condos feature traditional island decor and modern facilities such as free WiFi and air conditioning. If you’re looking for self-catering, use Expedia to work out which hotels have kitchens with refrigerators, stoves and microwaves.
The Hana Highway is a winding road that follows the eastern coast, passing through some of Maui Island’s untouched rainforest. You can do the drive in three hours, but stopping off at the various landmarks and scenic spots really makes a day of it.
One of the attractions on the drive is the Kahanu Garden, a large botanical garden home to species of plants from Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia. Within the garden, Piilanihale Heiau is a large rock formation, once an ancient place of worship and now listed as a National Historic Landmark.
