From nasty stains on the bathroom door, flooring that needed a good wipe, to bedroom curtains that had some sort of splatter on them. It was clear that the unit does not have a proper cleaning crew to support it. Sadly, their guest relations team determined that the complains were unfounded because we reported these two days into our stay. We simply spent little time in the unit as we arrived because - well, it's Hawaii so we decided to be outdoors. THey also called stains and splatter the usual "wear and tear". Never experienced that before. It's a shame because the unit does have potential given the proximity to the ocean.
