"IDEAL for family reunions and getaways. Think grandma and grandpa house meets family compound meets church camp. Photos do not do this property justice. Warm, nostalgic feel as soon as you walk in. Family photos on the walls and mantle reinforce the character of a place that’s been well loved and seen lots of life lived in it. We rented the house for a wedding weekend and the space was so accommodating to our multigenerational group. The grandchildren ran feral, exploring the barn and swimming in the pool along with aunts and uncles. Adults enjoyed morning coffee and conversation on the front porch watching deer, longhorns, horses and birds. Evenings saw the young adults playing games in the attached guest house and patio table outside. There was something for everyone. Communication with property manager was clear and helpful. House was well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes and towels. 4-5 cars fit comfortably inside fence. Others can be parked beside driveway. Property is convenient to Boerne right on Hwy 46 yet you feel transported back several generations once inside the gate. Cannot recommend this place enough!"

"We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was private, peaceful and beautiful. If you don't like nature, you should stay in town. But for people like me that grew up in the outdoors and enjoy nature, this place is excellent. Not many places that you can see deer every day and listen to the wild turkeys gobbling while you are having your coffee. The A/C and heater worked well and kept the place comfortable. All in all it was a great place to stay."

"Don't stay here unless you want to sleep with rodents!! My family traveled to Texas due to the loss of a family member. Typically I would have complained to the host right away. But under the circumstances we were greiving and just dealing with our loss and attending the service. When I returned home I sent the host pictures of the disgusting conditions we were staying in and requested a full refund. She declined our request and told me that she would have moved us to another home on the property. Now why in the world would we want to move to another home as it probably would have the same issues. Regardless don't stay here unless you don't mind sleeping with mice!! "
