From arcade games and shuffleboard to poker, cornhole, axe throwing, board games, and a record player, this chalet brings back the kind of family nights that don't need a screen. You'll be immersed in wildlife under tall redwoods and pines. Don’t forget to keep an eye outside, it's very common to spot a bear.

First-Floor Sleeping Option:
All bedrooms and dedicated sleeping areas are located upstairs. A pullout sofa is available in the first-floor living room, with bedding provided upon request.

Kitchen: A fully stocked kitchen designed for everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners. Enjoy our coffee bar featuring a Cuisinart 10-cup thermal coffee maker and single-serve K-Cup brewer, complete with coffee essentials including pods and sweeteners.
You'll also find stainless steel appliances, cookware, skillets, Dutch oven, pots and pans, blender, 12-qt Cuisinart stand mixer (perfect for baking cookies with the kids), crockpot, quality knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, and pantry basics including olive oil, cooking spray, salt, and pepper. We’ve also equipped the kitchen with kids plates, utensils, high chair & a video baby monitor with handheld parent unit.

Living Room: Relax in our cozy mountain living room, featuring a 55" Samsung Smart TV, a brand-new leather sofa, and an iconic Tahoe Blue couch. Gather around one of Tahoe's most impressive wood-burning fireplaces for slow mornings with coffee or evenings unwinding with classic board games and our vintage record player, complete with a curated vinyl collection. Work from the chalet with our desk set up.

Family Fun Game Room: Our full detached garage doubles as a game room, complete with a 55" LCD TV, Nintendo switch, shuffleboard, poker table, vintage arcade games, and a dartboard with plenty of room for the whole family to hang out.

Outdoor Space: Take in the fresh mountain air from your private backyard oasis. Relax in the 6-person hot tub, gather around the gas fire pit in Adirondack chairs, or fire up the BBQ grill for a cookout. Enjoy outdoor dining for eight, or unwind beneath café string lights and towering pines on our large patio sofa and furniture. A custom Tahoe-inspired mural completes the backdrop for memorable evenings.

Backyard Games: There's fun for every season! Enjoy cornhole, basketball, ladder golf, and axe throwing. For summer days, we provide a tow-along wagon with life vests, beach towels, a wet bag, and sand toys. In winter, gear up with snowball makers, kids' ski trainers, and sleds.

Paws Welcome: Your four-legged family members are welcome at The Homewood Chalet for a pet fee. We've stocked the essentials so you can travel light and relax: a dog bed, food and water bowls, feeding mat, welcome biscuits, toys, and poop bags. To keep the home fresh for every guest, we also provide a couch cover, dog towels, lint/hair roller, and stain-removal spray.

1 Car Garage: Garage/Game room is still available for parking a sedan or midsize SUV with a Level 2 EV ChargePoint charger

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of booking or if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in. We do not offer refunds for natural disasters, road closures or weather-related conditions like wildfires, poor air quality, snowstorms or other major events that are outside of our control. When planning travel to the Lake Tahoe area, we strongly advise purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip.

Other things to note
WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season this area of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 4 inches or more) to clear the driveway. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay.
