"Initially the jetted tub looked clean. We filled up the tub and turned on the jets to see how it worked. All kinds of hair started appearing in the water. I’m not sure how these tubs work, but it seems that the hair came through the jets. It was disgusting and unsanitary, especially considering that the hair types were from all parts of the body. We never got in the tub because thankfully we noticed the hair first. When I notified the owner, they said they had pictures of what the tub looked like upon check-in. And yes, it did appear clean then. But not after the jets were started. If you choose to stay here and really want to use the tub, PLEASE check it first after filling it and turning it on. I cringe to think of anyone getting in and then realizing they’re surrounded by someone else’s hair. Everything else was absolutely fantastic. It’s a beautiful, quiet area. Having access to the kayaks was wonderful. The view of the lake is gorgeous. The home is cozy and is equipped with everything you need. I really wish I could give it 5 stars, but sadly can’t because of the hair in the tub and the owner’s failure to directly acknowledge the issue. "

"Wrote a review and it vanished.. trying again in less words. Hosts were phenomenal. Had everything we didn’t even know we’d need. Place was beautiful. Couldn’t ask for a more quiet and beautiful nature spot. The water is fairly secluded and in our 4 nights, we only actually saw 2 people on the water. It’s absolutely stunning here. The outdoor area is phenomenal, like a fairy tale at sundown. We ate dinner outside and watched the sunset daily (prepare for mosquitos!). Extended our stay an extra night because we weren’t ready to leave the peace. Our dog loved his time there as well, and loved going into the water directly. He’s an anxious one, but he was sooooo relaxed here. We look forward to returning to enjoy the peace and nature again. Thank you to the most wonderful and kind hosts, who went out of their way to make it just a little extra special for us!**don’t forget to enjoy the amazing tub and double shower!"

"The kitchen was not clean. Dishes were dirty refrigerator and freezer were dirty, the microwave was nasty. Bathrooms were pretty clean except for the floors you could tell they hadn’t been mopped. Did have a problem trying to check in. The maintenance guy who said that he was the owner Son allowed one of our guest access to the property about 45 minutes early when the guest asked if it was OK if we needed to wait he said no it’s fine. I’m the owner son well the next thing I know we get hit with 150 early check-in fee. I tried to explain this to the host, but it fell on deaf ears. She said the maintenance man gave her a completely different story saying that we had already talked to the host and that it was OK for us to have an early check-in, which was not true at all. It was another issue with needing everybody’s drivers license, which I feel as an invasion of privacy ans now they have information that they don’t need to have, of course, most of that problem was my fault. I didn’t read the instructions clearly, but it was a huge pain in the ass. I do feel like we should be refunded the 150 early check-in fee because my friend that got there had just gotten there early and he was waiting on us which we showed up at four and I feel like the maintenance guy/owner. Son was definitely lying and he told the host something different probably just to save his own ass. We do have pictures of the microwave and the refrigerator if you would like to see how dirty they were."
