Renovated Historic Home! 2 blocks to downtown!

Join friends and family at Hoffman Hideaway on "The Hill" in the heart of Saugatuck. The original part of the home dates to the mid 1800s. This home has undergone a recent renovation/restoration. This home boasts over 2000 square feet. There are three bedrooms total. Two bedrooms on the main level with queen beds, and sleeping quarters upstairs with 4 twin beds, there are three full baths, hardwood floors and tile throughout. The completely renovated kitchen, part of the original home, is equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Each bathroom was renovated, and the antique claw foot tub was kept and retro-fitted with a shower. You can relax inside in the closed-in year-round living porch with fireplace or outside on the back deck, enjoying the peaceful surrondings. This home is clean and tastefully decorated throughout. Hoffman Hideaway is in a location of envy, just a two minute walk to the center of town! You’re within walking distance to all restaurants, shops, parks, and the harbor. If you are looking to keep active, walk to the historic Chain Ferry, cross the Kalamazoo River and walk to Oval Beach. Oval Beach is noted as one of the top ten beaches in the United States. Great house, great location

This house has all the amenities and is close to town. Have stayed here several times and it never disappoints! Plenty of beds and room for a group. Clean and so comfortable!

Beach vacation

The house was beautiful and in a perfect location. We could easily walk to restaurants, coffee shop, playground, and water front with two kids under 5. We all were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay!

One of the best properties we've stayed in!!!

My girlfriends and I get together every Fall for a girls weekend and this property and location did not disappoint!! Beautiful home, so close to downtown Saugatuck. Everything about this home was spectacular! We enjoyed the home and everything about it. We would definitely return to this property in the future!!!

Lovely home, neighborhood and convenient

The home was immaculate and beds were very comfortable. It is also in a quiet neighborhood but only a couple of short blocks to downtown. It was a girls weekend but the accommodations would be great for families also.

This house is our happy place

A beautiful home. With well maintained yard and landscaping. A short walk into town makes it so nice. We enjoyed our stay with family. At the end of the day we enjoyed talking and sitting by the fireplace.We look forward to staying at this house again.

Perfect Location!

This was the perfect house for a girl weekend getaway! We were seriously one block from downtown Saugatuck, all the shops and all the restaurants! The house was very clean, awesome to have three full bathrooms! Perfect space to hangout outside as well.

We had a great time. This home was clean, check in was easy, it was close to town! We had such a wonderful time connecting, Saugatuck and this house worked perfect for our multigenerational girls weekend! Something for everyone. Girls Weekend

We took another visit to Saugatuck, this time with the girls of the family. It was perfect; we spread out, kids played while we adults sipped wine and cooked some great meals. Loved time outside and walked town. Played outside with the littles and chatted the nights away. Love this place!

Perfect Stay at a Clean and Well-Maintained Property

I recently stayed at this VBRO property and I had a fantastic experience. The house was exactly as described in the listing, and it was spotless and well-maintained. Fabulous Friend Weekend

We had the best time, visiting Saugatuck… Time to catch up, and relax, shop, eat. Although little rainy outdoors, this cozy home provided us the opportunity to enjoy a warm fire, drinks in hand, and watch the colors in the leaves outdoors. We walked to town, and it took all of two minutes to be at shops, and the waterfront! Would absolutely come again! Very nice host and very clean accommodations, all important in a nice stay for the weekend!

Ladies weekend

We had a lovely time in this beautiful home. It is in a prime location, just down the street from shopping, restaurants and boat rentals. While it worked great for our girls weekend, it would also be wonderful for families. The bedrooms on the main floor are spacious and comfortable. The sleeping room upstairs is so quaint. We felt like we were having a slumber party. We can’t wait to book this property for next summer.

Beautiful, impeccably clean home in great location!

We have stayed at many wonderful homes in Saugatuck, but none were cleaner than this home. The whole home has been beautifully renovated with large bedrooms and updated bathrooms. There is a great backyard and patio that we really enjoyed. The house is on a bit of a hill, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group has difficulties with inclines or stairs. But we loved the location! Close enough to walk to everything in town, far enough to enjoy quiet summer nights on the patio. One minor problem when we arrived was quickly responded to by host, so very happy with response. Would love (and hope) to stay here again!

August Trip to Saugatuck

The home is lovely, decorated comfortably and in a great location. But, I wish I had more positive things to say. The kitchen was not clean. The microwave was very dirty with caked on food residue. The refrigerator did not even look like it had been wiped down and the floors throughout the house were filthy. I don't mean they weren't washed as I am sure that does not happen often. The floors were not even vacuumed with lots of crumbs on the kitchen and dining area floors. The family room had little party confetti all over the floors. The upstairs bedroom had sand all over the floors. The fans all had so much dust on and hanging from them that we didn't even use them. The very worst was the black mold on the tiles in the upstairs shower. There is a cleaning fee when booking so I would assume that the rental would actually be clean. There is also a bug problem in the house. We were constantly finding ants in the kitchen. We found many spiders, beetles and mosquitos throughout the house every single day. We choose this rental because of all the good reviews so we were so surprised and disappointed with all the issues.
