Charming Cottage near Douglas Beach!

  • Welcome to Lake Breeze Cottage! This 1600 sq foot 3 bedroom-2 bath attached cottage was recently renovated. It boasts wood floors throughout, with an open concept kitchen/dining/living room with gas fireplace. The master bedroom with king bed and full bath are on the main level, with two additional bedrooms located on the second floor. The “kids room” has two twin beds and a daybed with trundle, and the third bedroom has a queen with daybed as well. Laundry and large bathroom with separate shower area are also upstairs. Spend your mornings drinking coffee and watching the deer from our over sized screened in porch with gas fireplace. Our cottage is tucked back out of the way and with a private feel, but close to everything. Walk to Douglas beach, ride your bike to Lakeshore Drive or Downtown Douglas. Saugatuck and Oval Beach are both a 5 minute drive. There are countless wineries, orchards and breweries to visit.
    Relax and enjoy the Art Coast of Michigan!

Clean house, great screened-in deck w fireplace and plenty of room for our crew of three adults and three kids. Easy walk to Douglas Beach. We stayed here two years ago and enjoyed it enough to stay here again. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful property within walking distance of the beach, situated on a peaceful street. The back porch was amazing! We spent many mornings and evenings out there. We hope to be back soon!

Wonderful location in quiet neighborhood

This was our first family vacation to the Douglas/Saugatuck area and we will definitely be back! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! It was an easy walk to Douglas Beach and we loved the spacious screened in porch. Highly recommend!

Get away

We've been visiting the area for many years, and loved the location. It was the perfect set-up for a family get away with our adult children. Very comfortable house and bedrooms, and the back porch was great too.

Great Family Vacation

Our family of 6 adults and one 4 year old had a wonderful time at your home in Douglas. They all loved the accomodations saying it was very comfortable, very clean and the perfect location. Most times we all walked to the beach. Saugatauk was a favorite shopping venue.

Beautiful Cottage!! Perfect location!!

This was our first trip to the Douglas/Saugatuck area and we could not haver picked a more perfect spot. The owners were wonderful and extremely helpful!! The cottage was beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed. It is a short walk to Douglas Beach and a short drive to Oval Beach (our favorite!!) We cannot wait to visit again, hopefully next year!

Fantastic location and well-stocked house for a wonderful stay in the Douglas-Saugatuck area. The screened-in back porch with fireplace is wonderful to hang out and includes a table and chairs to eat out there. The garage is a great place to store beach gear and bikes for long rides on Lakeshore Drive. The location is walking distance to Douglas Beach for sunny beach days and gorgeous sunset views. The kitchen is completely functional and we cooked all kinds of meals. Could not ask for more from this property for a wonderful family vacation!

Perfection!

I would give this property a million stars if I could. It had every possible thing you would ever need. It’s beautifully decorated and very peaceful there. Great location near the beach and towns of Saugatuck and Douglas. The screened back porch with fireplace is to die for! It’s the perfect place to relax. Hosts Will and Christy were very responsive and welcoming!

We had a lovely time

We had an excellent stay here. The house was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. The screened in patio was the perfect place to drink coffee or play cards in the evening. Hosts communicated quickly. Our boys loved seeing the deer come through the trees into the backyard to hang out too! The house is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach and in close proximity to everything you need. We plan to visit Michigan again next summer and we’ll certainly look for this listing when we start planning.

Lovely Stay

This is our 2nd year staying at this house and it was just as good as the first time! We have a family of 4 with 2 young kids and we were very comfortable here. We love the proximity to the beach and spent a lot of time riding our bikes down Lakeshore Drive. The main bedroom is downstairs which is nice for those who can’t do the steep steps. Our daughter loves the trundle bed upstairs 🙂. We cooked a lot of nights and the kitchen has most of everything you will need. Lots of wonderful memories made.

A modern house in a Beautiful setting

LakeBreeze cottage is a new house with comfortable and ample outdoor (and indoor) spaces to enjoy the lake location. It is a short walk to see the lake (100 feet below), but requires a drive to get to a beach. The kitchen is basically equipped and has modern appliances. Likewise, the two baths had the basics. The four of us who stayed there had plenty of room to relax. We would suggest that visitors be told to bring beach towels, and certain other items for vacation enjoyment.

Great for family

We stayed here in August. We liked the location a lot. It is not in the center of activity but it is not far off either. It is about a 7 minute walk to Douglas Beach. The beach is well used but not over crowded. It is a short drive to Saugatuck and all that shopping. It is walkable to Downtown Douglas, about a mile. The house is clean and very will stocked. We found all kitchen utensils we needed (although there was only one teaspoon size spoon) and the outside grill had propane. We loved the porch and deck. We enjoyed our week at Breeze Cottage

Very Relaxing Charming Cottage

The name is accurate - this cottage is Charming. We spent 4 nights at the Douglas cottage and loved our stay. We visited for a wedding in the area with my husband and I, our 2 young children, and my parents. The house was set up perfectly for our group (my parents on the main floor and our family upstairs). The upstairs bedrooms are very versatile, comfortable beds and each has a daybed which the kids loved! The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. There's other houses around but the yard still feels very secluded. We loved the screen porch and it really makes the house! - it was so relaxing drinking coffee on the porch, watching deer/ nature, enjoying a fire and reading. Very centrally located - 1/2 mile to Douglas beach and minutes to Douglas/Saugatuck. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future.

The hosts are great to work with and respond quickly. The house is a short walk or bike ride to Douglas Beach and the Root Beer Barrell/Coffee/Italian Ice corner. The screened in porch is the highlight of the home and looks out on a nice backyard with room for kids to run and lots of wildlife to enjoy watching.It looks like the house is rented out often and is showing signs of wear but the beds were comfy enough and there are enough different types of seating for meals together or just hanging out. It is on a very quiet road, which we liked. There was plenty of room for the six of us to spread out and not be on top of each other. The bedrooms are sizeable. The home layout worked well for our family.

Very nice clean new property in quiet corner of an established Douglas neighborhood - we enjoyed the deer, bunnies, frogs and other nature as seen from the screened porch. 10 minute walk to a public beach, or 10 minute drive to Oval Beach. Very convenient to Douglas and Saugatuck restaurants.

This is our second visit to this property and it is the perfect gathering place for our family. The house is immaculate and very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The screen porch is the favorite spot for our group. It's an easy walk to the beach and many great places to eat and shop in nearby Saugatuck and Holland.
