"Overall good location but owner requested that we not use the freezer , asked 5 for each load of laundry.. there was no place to but the garbage or recycling. Wanted to charge 37 for a pull chain that I am not sure we even broke . We were a group of over 70 soccer players that were very responsible."

"We enjoyed the property. The house is down a half mile dirt road, missed the road first time. Spiral staircase going to downstairs two bedrooms kind of interesting. We had 12 people staying and we were able to spread out. The kayaks and paddle boat were a lot of fun."

"Terrific cottage on quiet lake - great for families (lake with dock, kayak, canoe, fire pit, hammock, outdoor seating, laundry, well-stocked kitchen, etc) and just 15-20 minutes from everything in the area. No AC but cool at night even on hot days."

"The home is in a wonderful, secluded location with Lake Anne right in front. It was very nice to have the kayaks and stand-up-paddleboards available and we definitely used them a lot. It was also an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes for a day trip. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the beds were comfortable."

"We stayed here for three nights, which was the final leg of our eight-night trip back to our home state. Although we didn't spend much time on the property while traveling the area, we thoroughly enjoyed the time we did spend there. The place has everything, very well decorated, a bit funky, and lots of fun. Barb was very accommodating and wished we could have spent a bit of time with her, but via text, she was very responsive. So many nice touches, both inside and out on the wrap-around porch. We had been hoping to do our lodging in Traverse City when setting the trip up a few months back, but due to the Fourth, there were slim pickings. As it turned out, this was the better pick! In terms of location, probably more central than TC when it comes to visiting the overall area. So - there has to be one negative, right? I'm including TC with this as well, there just aren't many breakfast places, we never saw one! :) "
