There is an extensive network of cycle paths in the region with local connections and you can go on trips to e.g. Bayreuth, Regensburg, the Czech Republic and the thermal baths triangle. Those interested in sport can find cross-country skiing trails about 15km away, ski pistes about 25km away and several pools and swimming ponds in the area. There are several museums and factory outlets (especially porcelain) in the region that are worth seeing.
