Walking distance (return part uphill) to Nutgrove beaches, shops, cafes, and famous Seagrass restaurant on Long Point. A minute to bus stop. 15 minutes to CBD and Salamanca/Battery Point with connections to MONA ferry. Bus connects to southern coastal suburbs and is two km to Wrest Point and University. Sonningview is also a convenient base for day trips outside Hobart. Half day trips to Coal River region for wineries and historic Richmond. Further afield exploring Huon and Bruny Island is a 40 min drive via the Southern Outlet. And Port Arthur historic site a 90 min drive. HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Relaxing atmosphere. Non intrusive hosts. Comfortable lodgings with attentive, responsive hosts. How nice to have that first morning breakfast supplied and to be able to pick from the garden. The driveway, as most of Sandy Bay, is steep but manageable but free driveway parking is always a plus.. Having a washer and dryer in the apartment was much appreciated. ##### Fran S.
