    The Space:
The Gibson’s Mill building is etched into Tasmania’s rich history, operating as a family owned flour mill business from the mid-1860’s, becoming Tasmania’s largest flour mill until it was sold in 1979.

It began a new life after a stunning architecturally designed conversion, retaining its industrial original features such as exposed brick, steel and wooden beams, and high loft-style ceilings.

The building’s period facade dating back to 1890 with Gibson’s Mill signage stamps its place in Hobart’s working class history.

The loft – one of the most premium in the boutique 12 apartment building offers space and an edginess that Hobart has become known for.

Split over two levels, this light and bright apartment features on the lower level a modern fully equipped kitchen with sleek appliances, large dining and lounge room, workstation, bathroom and bedroom with King sized.

Upstairs is dedicated to the master bedroom with King sized bed, spacious ensuite and large robe.

The loft features all modern conveniences including ducted aircon, euro laundry with washer and dryer and secure car parking for one car.

The best of what Hobart has to offer is right at your doorstep. Walk five minutes in any direction for an abundance of bars, cafes, restaurants or the CBD. Try Aloft restaurant on Brooke Street Pier, Daci & Daci Bakers for a delicious pastry, or the Telegraph Hotel next door for a pot of Cascade beer. Head to the vibrant cultural scene of Salamanca Place for dinner, or the Saturday morning weekly market.

Please note the stay is located near the waterfront precinct, some apartments experience late night noise from adjacent restaurants, clubs and pubs, particularly on a Friday and Saturday night.

The location is absolutely perfect, so close to so many cafe's, restaurants and the Salamanca market, as well as Mures. This was suited to 2 couples as it is 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom. The fact that it has a full size fridge and cooking facilities was fantastic for buying local goodies and wine and being able to enjoy them back at the accommodation.Beds were comfortable and there were basic condiments in the pantry (oil, salt, pepper and vegemite), as well as foil and baking paper! Perfect for our quick heat ups :)Do yourself a favour in Hobart and make sure you have the Chowder and scallops in the shell at Mures - just on the lower level - AMAZING!
