Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: close to city
Cons: Bathrooms getting old and tired no room to put toiletries around the sink

Convenient

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Pros: Location and daily happy hour.
Cons: Housekeeping and quality/selection of breakfast buffet.
Location was good, room was fine, housekeeping needs some attention, breakfast currently a waste of time and money, parking avaialbel but at a cost.

Easy access to the city.

Posted 06-Jul-2017
We spent our first 3 nights here in Hobart. The bed was suoerking and comfortable. Hobart was very cold so the heater was great and worked well. It was a little noisy as the windows are not double glazed, but a good stay overall. Friendly reception staff

Enjoyed the accommodation

Posted 04-Jul-2017
Pros: Staff were very friendly.
Location: Easy access to CBD
Enjoyed the accommodation except when the fire alarm was set off. All staff and Guests had to be evacuated. It was my first sleep in for a long time. it was a let down for me. However we were all staff and it was a false alarm.

Pros: Hotel nice and near shopping district.
Everything went well during my stay but on my check out date, water supply was cut off in the early morning. Quite inconvenient as we don't have water to wash up.We were given free buffett breakfast on that morning.

Short stay in Best Western, Hobart

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, the hotel needs a complete makeover.
Location: Nothing to do around the hotel.
My first impression entering the room was disappointing. The room is rather rundown, it looks like the furniture was there from the first day opening of the hotel. The bathroom / toilet is not well maintain. Nothing attractive or appealing. The buffet breakfast has nothing to rave about for the price.

Overall old and lacking hotel

Posted 06-Jun-2017
The pros: - Location is good - Staff are excellent despite the poor hotel they have to work at. The cons: - Noise - Noise - Noise If you love noise, this is a 5star hotel, you will get an audible experience like no other. From the road noise, to the pedestrian lights that run every 30seconds 24/7 (not an exaggeration, they are on interval if pressed or not), add in the other rooms through the paper thin walls, clear noise and speech from the hallway through the door, air con noise from your unit on the balcony and your neighbours, old elevators with a loud clicking that comes through the walls, plumbing noise...and I think I'm out. Not single aspect of the room attempts to minimise this at all. Everything is old and thin, from walls to glass panes, there was almost no difference between a door closed or open. It's cheap, it's clean, the staff are nice and the rooms are large enough, beds good. If you can put up with the rest you'll be ok, otherwise run for the hills. Oh wifi is top notch, streams netflix no problems and no limits that I noticed.

Nice hotel quiet location in Hobart city.

Posted 24-May-2017
Pros: King size bed, everything priced reasonably
Room service was good. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, market and waterfront. Able to walk to waterfront and take cruise on the Derwent. Loads of historical buildings to take in.
