You can walk to it within 5 minutes during the off hours when the tourists are gone. We loved their 10-course Kaiseki Dinner and their Japanese breakfast. Their shuttle van picks you up at the ferry terminal. Food was great, but the kids (10 and 12) were disappointed they got the kids meal with fries during dinner when they had been looking forward to japanese food. The japanese breakfast in the morning made up for it though. Although it's not near the ferry port, the hotel provided a shuttle service upon arrival and departure. The staffs were so friendly and polite to us. The hotel itself felt quite historic, and as its name implies, it combines the beautiful views together, which you can see just from the window. Moreover, you can book the private onsen for a 30-minute slot. This was much better than the public bath located at the basement of the hotel. I noticed that there were restaurant and bar in the hotel, but they were not opened. Maybe because not so many people stay in the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. There is an onsite private onsen that can be reserved for 30 minutes. Our room was very spacious with a view overlooking the town. We could see the Itsukushima Jinja from our window. We slept on futons on the tatami mat floor and had no complaints. The hotel is approximately a 25-minute walk from the ferry. For dinner, we were provided a Japanese kaiseiki meal which was delicious! You choose you among three meal time options and can also choose an option for shuttle to the Miyajima ferry terminal. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. Nice amenities. Wonderful view from room and top floor. Shuttle service from pier makes for a convenient transfer. Bath ïs just OK. Would be better if you could take in the view while sitting in the bath, but you can't. The eating and bathing schedule should be clearly communicated upon reservation. It was very confusing and we got boxed in upon arrival with no schedule flexibility.
