About this property

The Cygnet

  • Staying on the water is different to staying in a Motel or Cabin.
Approximately 100km southeast of Adelaide where the Murray river meets the Southern ocean you will find Hindmarsh Island.
Staying on the Cygnet in the Coorong Quays Mariner is a unique experience, different to staying in a motel or a cabin.
Here there is the tranquility of the water, your own private space to sit, enjoy the birds, maybe see the resident seal swimming past.
Have a drink, cook a BBQ, put your feet in the water and just relax.
In the Marina, there is BBQ areas, a playground,a lookout towards Goolwa wharf and The Islanders' Tavern.
Around Hindmarsh Island there are plenty of spots to go fishing, swimming and see if you can spot some of the local waterbirds including pelicans, black swans, and Cape Barren geese.
Further afield you could explore some of the local stores, galleries, cafe's, restaurants and historical sites and museums in Goolwa, Middleton and other surrounding areas.
Maybe go for a ride on the Cockle Train (Steamranger Heritage Railway): Australia’s oldest steel railway from Goolwa through Port Elliot to Victor Harbor.
There is so much to see and do and The Cygnet makes the perfect base to see and do it all.
