Recently Renovated. Year-Round Heated Pool! Ocean Dunes provides perhaps the best oceanfront value in the Forest Beach area since the rental rates are lower than virtually every other oceanfront property and it is ideally located in close proximity to Coligny Plaza and right between the new Hilton Ocean Oak ($50,000 plus $700 per night) and the Marriott Grande Ocean ($550/night summer rates). Guests will enjoy the same fantastic oceanfront location as these high-end properties as well as a new heated oceanfront pool and can utilize certain amenities at the aforementioned resorts... such as beachfront bar/grills. Plus... Ocean Dunes is a REALLY nice complex! Best yet, choose our condo and enjoy THE BEST deluxe one bedroom villa anywhere in Ocean Dunes. Our unit has very recently been taken down to the studs and completely updated. Guests will appreciate the genuine hardwood floors throughout, the granite kitchen countertops and luxurious bathroom. And most guests comment on the cleanliness of our unit in their reviews. We do employ Hilton Head's finest cleaning company to ensure that you will arrive to a sparkling clean unit with fresh linens and towels. We offer a queen bed in the master suite (WITH A NEW SEALY POSTUREPEDIC HYBRID MATTRESS), and a full sofa sleeper in the living room. Flat screen HDTV’s in both living and bedroom with digital cable and free Wi-Fi. The living room opens onto a balcony/deck overlooking both the Ocean Dunes and Ocean Oak pools with direct ocean views. A newly installed balcony ceiling fan will provide additional comfort on hot summer days. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with everything you will need for meal prep. To open up the villa space we have included a drop-leaf dining table that neatly folds up leaving a minimal footprint, and the dining chairs fold up and are stored neatly in the closet. We have also replaced the small bedroom door with a wide sliding pocket door... a very unique feature that really opens up the space and is not offered on the vast majority of Ocean Dunes villas. Ours is also the only Ocean Dunes villa with an in-room washer/dryer. Bed linens, bath towels, extra pillows & blankets, plus a small supply of toiletries are supplied as well. There is a ramp as well as elevators. Ocean Dunes also provides luggage carts for unloading and loading your personal belongings. Our unit provides first floor convenience with spectacular views of the best beach on Hilton Head Island and just a short walk to many restaurants, shops and watering holes of Coligny Plaza. Our one bedroom offers 538 square feet of pure coastal bliss!! Perfect for a romantic getaway, friend bonding trip or a small family vacation, Ocean Dunes provides a tranquil oceanfront experience. Come and smell the salty ocean air and enjoy the breezes through the palm trees from our direct ocean-front balcony. This villa is smoke-free (including balcony) and pet-free. Would have liked to enjoy the beach but a little cool this trip. Beach is flat for walking and firm enough to ride bikes. It was very clean and well appointed. The location is superb....just steps to the beach and from the lanai you can see the pool but are not right on top of it. It is very well priced for its location and the complex is well maintained. It is an older complex and all units have wall air conditioner systems so you do hear them. Access to the outdoor hotel bar next door is a nice feature and under a mile walk or bike ride to great shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. Location was amazing - just two minute walking distance from the beach! The bathroom was a little small. The AC couldn’t go below 68F, and it got hot inside the condo at night. Chairs and umbrellas were also provided for the beach, although some of them were broken and rusted. Air conditioning unit needs to be set low to work but then blows loudly. Pool was pleasantly warm. Beach walks nice from the unit. Bedroom could stand an update. Needs ceiling fan not chandelier. Needs new mattress. TV remote instructions needed. Owner was helpful and responsive after we reached him luckily. ##### Steve P. As soon as you walk toward the building, a very stale and musty smell is apparent. Upon entering our condo, the damp and musty smell was terrible. It permeated into the furniture. We didn’t even unpack our clothes because the dressers smelled so bad. The pool area and the proximity to the beach is nice, but I would not recommend and will not be staying here again. ##### Judy L. I found the furniture a little dirty; the bedspread desperately needed to be washed- there were stains on it that I blotted out; the couch was dirty and the pull out couch mattress had a huge stain on it that was covered up by a beach towel under the sheet. The whole complex smelled very musty and that smell came in through the air conditioning. It was, however, close to the beach and had a nice view of the ocean. Chairs and beach towels were included and this was a bonus for us. It had a washer and dryer but the dryer gave an error message. Did we make it work for us? Yes. Would I stay here again? Unfortunately the owner forgot to tell their real estate agent it was occupied. My wife and I were unexpectedly interrupted to someone opening the door.
