And Sunshine on Two Balconies All Day Long!! Ocean views and sunshine welcome you to this wonderful Two Bedroom Villamare /Palmetto Dunes condo. Your vacation rental includes bike rentals and beach gear with your stay. 2212 Villamare in Palmetto Dunes is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Head Vacations, Inc, a locally owned company. Centrally located in the Villamare complex, this second-floor condo is close to everything! Sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of our new (2024) family pool, both of our main fountains, the birds that visit the pond, and of course, the Ocean! Both balconies provide a sunny location for both morning and afternoon enjoyment. In the condo you will find Smart TVs, smart DVD players, free wifi, and 2 planning desks if you must work remotely. There are travertine tile floors and blackout curtains in all rooms. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops are in the well-stocked kitchen. Condo sleeps seven people. The master bedroom has a king bed, planning desk, slider doors to the main balcony, and a large bathroom with granite double sinks and a large, tiled shower. The guest bedroom has two queen beds, a chair with a single sleeper, a planning desk, and a bathroom with a granite sink and a tub/shower combination. This bedroom also has its own private balcony with a deck box containing an assortment of beach equipment. Redesigned in 2024, amenities provided by the Villamare complex include 2 oceanfront pools (one serenity pool for adults, and one family pool), 2 outdoor hot tubs, ADA compliant beach access, gas grills with outdoor oceanfront dining area, and a fire pit for evening enjoyment. In the Villamare health club, you will find an indoor pool, indoor hot tub, sauna, and well -equipped exercise room. The condo was Very dusty...nothing had been wiped, thick layer of dust on everything, floors had crumbs and hair all over, sliding doors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. It's unfortunate but this seems to be pretty wide spread across the island over this past year but still disappointing to have to start your vacation with cleaning for 30 minutes. The beds were huge and comfy, giant bathrooms, everything worked well, loved the Master shower! Palmetto Dunes neighborhood may be our new favorite place to stay on the island- so safe, gorgeous and fun! We biked Everywhere from our condo- to breakfast (General Store!), to grab lunch (across 278 at SC Marina!), to tennis lessons at the tennis center 2 min away and to our surf lessons at the Dunes House! ##### Marie D. My wife and I have styed at the Villamare Condo's several times, different units each time, so we know what to expect. Great location, quiet setting, great access to the pools and beach. One of the reasons I chose this unit for this stay was the reviews stating how clean it was. Very disappointed on check-in to find it hadn;t been vacuumed and the bed-spread in the master had stains all over it. I was relaxing in the livingroom just after we got there and noticed french fries on the floor. Upon closer inspection I found crums and fries all over the livig room. Meanwhile my wife was unpacking and noticed stains all over the bed-spread, I reported the food on the floor, which they cleaned up. We didn't report the bed-spread, they probably would have taken care of it if we had. We were just disappointed that the unit was left that way after the "professional" cleaning crew had come thru. R$eally makes you wonder how well they clean... the towels... the bedding... the kitchen. Anyway, other than that, it's a nice unit, easy to get to and a decent value. ##### Matt S. The condo was very comfortable and well decorated. The kitchen was a bit disorganized with only basics provided and we had to rewash some of the dishes and silverware. Our location was great and we loved the pool and beach accessibility. There was some noise from renovations which was a bit annoying at times for those working from the condo. The condo itself was just okay. All the furniture, although nice, in the condo seemed too big for the space. The balcony was nice but again the patio set was so big that it was very hard to get to some of the chairs. The kitchen was tiny but functional. The A/C system had a smell coming out of it especially in the second bedroom where my kids were sleeping, not sure if this is just because it is a humid environment. The pool was nice but it was so crowded and was impossible to socially distance in the water and there was no one who was controlling the number of people in the pool. But the beach was wonderful. It is very wide at this location and the sand is nice and soft. The best part of this property was the location. ##### varsha c. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous condo with all amenities. Rental managers were great with every detail and worked hard to get everything buttoned up for hurricane Dorian on our last day. Condo had everything we needed and beach was close and an easy walk. Thank you! We will be back next year. ##### Julianne H. Great location, nicely furnished, easy walk to pool and beach, pretty view from balcony. The dryer did not work, and no one ever showed up to fix it During our week stay, despite my texting the rental property manager a couple times. The check in process was difficult. This rental company has a very narrow window to check in. They will not allow check in until 4pm despite the Vrbo confirmation email stating check in is 3pm. He blamed Vrbo. There was a line of people to check in outside the rental company, and they have the door locked until 4pm. Half the people in line also thought their check in was at 3\. He also blamed Gmail for those of us in line that have gmail and didn’t get his email saying checkin was at 4, because he knows his emails go to spam for gmail users. We were also given a paper with the wrong room number on it which created a lot of confusion, (and my group entering the wrong room) when we arrived. He did give us a small gift card to a bad restaurant and some mini golf tokens for the mistake. I also found it inconvenient to have to drive to the rental company location to receive a paper with the door code on it. There was no physical key to require a pick up. The code could have easily been emailed or texted to me. They need to update their systems.
