Welcome to 26 Mallard!
The perfect, cozy beach getaway you have been looking for, plus its dog friendly so the whole family can join in! Located on the corner of North Forest Beach Dr. and Mallard, this beautiful 5th-row beach home is the place to be to get away from it all and relax.
Upon entering 26 Mallard you will find a large open living space including the living room, dining area, and kitchen. The living room features plenty of seating and a large flat-screen TV. Just beyond the living room is the dining area with seating for 8. The space is equipped with a work desk should you need to get some work done on vacation. The screened porch is off to the left and is an ideal spot for an afternoon read. The renovated kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. There is also a brand-new, reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen. Also in the kitchen the homes stacked washer and dryer with a sink.
To the right of the living room and dining room is the first of the home's 3 bedrooms. This guest bedroom features two full-sized beds and a wonderfully equipped en-suite bath that has a single vanity sink with a beautifully renovated walk in shower.
As you walk up the stair to the second floor you are greeted with the remaining bedrooms. The secondary guest bedroom to the right has two twin beds with an en-suite bath, and the bedroom to the left features the charming King master bedroom that also has a en-suite bathroom with walking shower for privacy and convenience.

We go on a yearly trip to Hilton Head and this property was one of the best we’ve stayed at! The place was clean, had plenty of room and was a quick walk to the beach every day. We would highly recommend!
The house was spacious and lovely. The appointments were exactly where everything needed to be. We have rented houses and condos for more than 20 years and never had a rental have everything and everything was very clean and in great condition! Our dog loved the fenced in backyard. The outdoor shower was handy in getting the sand off our feet and the dog. We loved the reclining leather sofas. The furniture was all in good condition and sturdy. The house had a wonderful assortment of games and books. The wifi worked perfectly. The management company, Beachside, was great, they checked in with us after we arrived and wanted to know if there were any problems, which was nice. Same thing after our stay, they called and wanted to know if we had any issues before departing. It was a great experience!
This property is very convenient with access to the beach, biking path and in close distance to shopping and restaurants. The home was very comfortable for my family of 4 who really enjoyed all the comforts offered. We are looking forward to another vacation at this home.

We enjoyed this rental for its close proximity to the beach and location to Coligny Plaza. The beach was never very crowded where we set up for the day. Our dog, Holly, enjoyed the beautiful backyard--the best we've had in any of our HHI rentals.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious, clean and nicely updated and in a fantastic location. Beach was literally 300 ft away and Caligny (shopping, dining and entertainment) was only 3/4 of a mile. Highly recommend renting bikes. The island is really bike friendly. Property manager provided great communication prior to our stay and checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were satisfied.
We enjoyed our stay. All accommodation in side were nice. Kitchen was well equipped and the Weber grill was very clean. AC works well. Outdoor shower was convenient. Nice grass yard in the back/side.

We loved how it was only a short walk to the beach. Kitchen was fully stocked. I brought my cheese grater and didn’t need to because there was one in the kitchen. The screened in porch was also something we loved - great for early morning coffee and also late night chats.
We had a great stay at this property. It was a close walk to the beach and our dog loved the beach. It’s a very dog friendly area, except for our neighbors behind us complained about barking. Our only complaint was at the beds were not very comfortable. We rented bikes in Coligny was very bike friendly distance. We would definitely rent again. Our agent even checked with us throughout the week to make sure things are going well.
House is in a good location - just one block from the beach, which was by far the best part of the place. But some issues inside - e.g., lot of cockroaches (we had to buy traps it was so bad), some unfinished touches (e.g., stairs had no flooring - was just exposed wood that had not been finished yet), and a little louder on the corner of the main street than expected. Management company was very responsive at least.
This property is in need of maintenance, repair, and pest control. The yard and fence are in terrible shape and unsatisfactory for any smaller dog. It is next to a main road. We were unable to use the decks and screened porch due the excessive noise from the construction across the street. The workers started at 7:15am every morning (except sunday). One morning they started at 5:05am. I can't imagine a property management company (Beachside Getaway). Their solution to the problem was to offer an apology and a minimal reimbursement at the end of our stay. As it turns out is was less than minimal. It was a long 19 days. My advice is to avoid this property and the management company. The construction across the street will last for quite a while longer. Renter beware.
The house is everything the listing says it is. The house was very clean and comfortable. The short little walk to the beach was simple, and with the help from a little red wagon, chairs, coolers, and other beach supplies could be handled in one trip. Other than the dishwasher crapping out on us, the week was perfect (the next people that stay will at least have a new dishwasher).
We had a wonderful Easter week at this home. Although we had some issues with a leaking upstairs shower and lack of cable for a few days, the management company went above and beyond to help us fix those issues. They communicated and were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again next year if we head back to HHI!
Great location, property is well managed, the location is perfect. Close enough to walk/bike to town yet quiet enough. Being one block away from the beach was perfect for us.
Property was really nice and location was great just being a few homes from the beach. The only issue was the sheets in master bedroom were completely covered in black hairs and urine. The property company quickly fixed the issue the next morning and changed all bedding.
The place is great. The proximity to the beach is unmatched. Easy bike ride or walk to shops and restaurants with live music essentially every day of the week. Couldn't have asked for more, except...
The beds were awful. I aged 20 years in a week. The king mattress was a turn of the century model, and I'm not yet sure which century. The pillow was a shell of its former self; triple folded it was still inadequate. It's past time to update the beds and pillows and make this a 5 star location.
All told, would I rent here again? Absolutely.
This house was perfect for our group of six. Nice layout. Great kitchen for entertaining. Great location. Short walk to beach. Beach was not crowded at all. Would stay here again.
