Home was very clean and excellently maintained - I loved the setup and the pool was the best I've ever encountered in Sea Pines. So close to the beach and the screened in porch was great for reading before bed.
We enjoyed our stay at 5 Piping Plover with all the amenities that we needed plus awesome beach towels. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach and the location on the island was perfect, midway between the beach club and south beach.
They house was perfect for our family and 2 dogs. It was an ideal location to the beach path. The pool was wonderful (we did have it heated) and the property manager was very responsive to all questions. It was very clean and just a great place to stay.
We loved the house only issues were the pool
Didn’t not have a railing as shown in photos and fix was poor. We chose this house because we had small child and seniors who need pool railing. Dog hair under furniture and in recliner, we had crawling child so that mattered. Need outlets by beds - the back king did not have. Great location highly recommend!
Wonderful location, quick walk to the beach private pool setting. Just needed some attention in the kitchen. Dishwasher crapped out at the outset and maintenance was unable to get it fixed during our week visit. No blender in the kitchen. Both overcomable issues but a nuisance nonetheless. Would recommend the place keeping in mind you’re paying for the location not necessarily the property
House was clean and well maintained. Proximity to beach was awesome. Beach wagon and bikes were a big plus. The only downsides were insufficient amount of toilet paper allocated and uncomfortable beds. Pool cleaning schedule was excellent. Well stocked kitchenware and everything worked.
The house was just as it looked in the pictures and was perfect for our family. It was a short walk to the beach so we were able to spend a lot of time at the beach and the pool which made the kids happy. Also had plenty of games and puzzles. We loved it. Only problem we had was the fridge but we were given a loaner. The rental company is great with lots of extra little gifts.
We had four adults and two small children down for 5 days last week. Could not have been happier with the property.

This is the second time that our family has stayed at 5 Piping Plover and it's a perfect house for a family with a dog.
The house has 4 bedrooms, a nice size family room and it has a nice screened-in porch that overlooks the pool.
The house is less than 100 steps from the beach and the owners have everything you need to stay in and cook if so desired.
The property is very nice and located wonderfully close to the beach. It was not stocked with normal essentials such as salt, coffee filters, etc and there were some mold issues in the screened in porch that I would not expect in a “luxury” listing. We did vacate several days early secondary to hurricane Debby, and the management company was not very helpful, nor did they offer any sort of refund. I would consider staying at this property again, but will not be staying at another property managed by the vacation company.
There's a house getting built right beside this house and we got woken up every morning at 8AM! But the house itself is very nice and clean. The kitchen is well stocked. A keurig should definitely be added. The trash and recycling never got picked up from the previous guest apparently and also while we were there!
Excellent location, may be issues with HVAC and pool heating
Overall a great home for our week in HHI. Would have been 5 stars but the air conditioning was not working when we arrived and the pool was not heated, even though we confirmed prior to our arrival that we had paid the extra fee for pool heating. The first couple of days the pool was quite cold, and it wasn't until we requested a pool tech come out that it was fixed. I guess the lesson is if things aren't right when you arrive, ask quickly for help. On a positive note, the Vacation Company was responsive to our request.

The house is very tired looking. The furniture is extremely tired. The cushions just sink and sag on the couches. The drawers in the dressers were dirty. Some dishes and utensils in the kitchen cabinets were dirty. The pool light didnt work, but management did have it fixed. It then worked half the time. The back door to the screened in porch was usless and basically falling apart. There is no fence in the back, so everyone can see you on the patio and in the pool. The driveway is difficult to get down and you have a long and narrow backing uo situation when you want to leave. The house had a lot of other issues with doors not closing all the way, but their handyman was able to get things functional. The only good rhing about this house is the location.
The main living area, location, and pool were great! Super close walk to the beach which never felt crowded. Living area was nice and spacious.
The mgmt company did respond to our issues that were all from the first days of our stay - there were sewer flies and ants in the bathrooms, stained beach towels, dirty pots, pans, and spatulas, washing machine was dirty, and a temporary shower rod in the master bathroom that kept falling. They had the master shower glass doors replaced towards the end of our trip, and the glass company left the bathroom floor dirty.
I hate to be a complainer but hopefully this helps the house be in better condition for future guests. We’ve stayed in many rentals that have all been in pristine condition upon arrival so that’s what we were expecting, especially considering the price and location.
Overall, a good beach house.
This was a great house close to the beach. Very clean and a great place to stay with our dog. Vacation Company was great and we will be renting with them again. We would stay in the same house next year but we need an additional room for more family.
5 Piping Plover was in a great location and the perfect size for our vacation party. The Vacation Company was easy to work with and we’re quick to address any questions or issues.
