Great Smoky Mountain Creekside Cabin

  • Escape to this cozy, creekside cabin and leave your worries behind on your relaxing getaway. Enjoy your coffee while listening to the sweet sounds the rushing waters of the creek from the sprawling front porch. Nestled in the Upper Cartoogechaye River valley, this peaceful log cabin feels secluded, but is only a short ride to town to pick up supplies. Spend your days being lazy by the creek or explore the Nantahala National Forest only a few miles down the road.

    The main level offers master style bedroom with a luxurious King size bed and full bathroom en suite with tub shower combo. The second bedroom is as cozy as the master with a comfy Queen bed and a full bathroom right outside it's door. Accessible by ladder, is the cozy loft with 2 single beds.
    Open the door, breath the mountain air and listen to the sounds of the creek through the screen door. A fully stocked kitchen affords you all the luxuries of home or step outside and fire up the Weber charcoal grill. A remote start gas fire place will keep you warm on those cool mountain evenings. There is also an outdoor fire pit to enjoy roasting marshmallows and great conversation. Creekside Cabin offers 55 inch HD TV and wifi for those looking to stay connected.
    Once you arrive at this charming cabin in the woods you will never want to leave!

    We provide linens, dish soap, detergent, and toilet paper. You will need to bring your own charcoal and firewood for the outdoor fire pits.

    All renters of Creekside Cabin will agree to release the property and it's owners form any and all liability associated with any personal loss or injury occurring at or near the above property. Cell phone service is spotty but there is a land line and wifi for outside communications.

We were looking for a nice, quiet cabin on a creek that we could just relax at for the week.....and that's just what Creekside Cabin is. We really enjoyed sitting by the firepit while our dog enjoyed the creek. Great place! We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed four days at the cabin. We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean, the master bed was very comfortable, and the porch looking over looking the creek was so peaceful. We would definitely recommend this cabin for a quite, cozy stay.

Perfect family get away!

Our stay was wonderful! Everything was just as listed. We spent many evenings on the porch listening to the stream or teaching our son to skip rocks. This trip was to relax and reconnect and unplug. Absolutely Fantastic

I brought my mom here for her 87th birthday. We loved everything about the cabin. The location is beautiful, peaceful and secluded. The cabin is wonderfully appointed, clean and comfortable. The back porch and rockers were our favorite spot along with sitting by the creek. We didn’t use the fire pit but it’s a beautifully done area. The landscaping, both natural and planted are gorgeous. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The cabin is very family friendly and well equipped with all you will need AND MORE. We hope to rent again in the future for more family stays. The location tucked away in the trees with the best creek ever was 10/10! The WiFi and TV aren’t the best but it’s great for unplugging and have downloaded things on the iPad for the kiddos! Only about 11ish minutes from the store. My little one is 2.5 and it was perfection for her. She loved every bit of the cabin!

A GREAT TIME was had by all at Creekside! …

Everything about the cabin and our week-long stay was TOP-NOTCH … starting with the close proximity to Franklin and the obvious fact that the property is well-cared for and well maintained … factors such as the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds, the wonderful private secluded view from the expansive back porch on which we spent a lot of time enjoying our morning coffee listening to the sound of the creek as well as the generous supply of dry firewood and extras of household supplies like towels, washcloths, cookware, soaps and toiletries were all obvious efforts indicating that the owners very much wanted to make their guests feel comfortable and happy to be in their space! They were quite successful! Thank you Hannah and Lance!

Perfect Mountain Escape!

Beautiful property! The house is very comfortable, with a lovely gas fireplace and a nice kitchen. The deck is perfect for relaxing! The creek is beautiful, and kept my kids entertained. There are plenty of great hikes within a reasonable distance. My kids were documenting salamanders and found numerous specimens at the creek and on hikes. My husband sent pictures to his co-workers and had several ask for booking information they were so impressed! I would recommend this stay without reservation. (Note: cell service is non-existent until you get closer to town and internet is spotty so be prepared to have people call you on the house phone or bring a long distance calling card)

Perfect getaway

We were blown away by this place and can't wait to get back! The cabin was perfect. You can hear the creek from the porch. Small enough to be cozy but large enough to have some space. The beds were extremely comfortable. The weather was cold! 20 degrees one morning - but we were toasty with the fire. Property and creek were beautiful - it was a little cold to maximize the outdoor space, but we did have a small fire one night and it was lovely. I would highly recommend this place for a family of four. The loft space has two extra beds but was a bit hard to access on the ladder. We can't wait to get back and will be booking another stay - for longer next time! We did not want to leave.

This was our favorite property we have stayed at in Franklin over the years and we will definitely be back! I always look for creek access for playing and fishing first, then a downstairs bedroom for my aging mother, then the other bedrooms and location. Creekside Cabin checked all the boxes and was just perfect and magical upon arrival. It was perfectly cozy while also having plenty of bedroom and bathroom space. We ate lunch and dinner on the back porch and played in the creek everyday. Each night, my daughter couldn't wait until dusk to catch fireflies and then we would cozy up to a nightly movie. My husband brought up our Jeep for the first time and enjoyed driving on trails nearby right across the GA line. Downtown Franklin is very close by with some of our favorites: Crabtree General Store & Coffee Vault, Chop House, Outdoor 76, The 28734 Store, & Las Margaritas. Downtown Clayton, GA is also a favorite. Both towns and the cabin are dog friendly. Highly recommended!!
