With a little improvement on insulation, driving instructions & wifi connection, we would give 5 stars! The experience was really cool but I don't think I would return because 1\. It wasn't as remote as I anticipated, the whole side of the mountain is totally developed. It just wasn't the vibe I was looking for. 2\. The proximity of the other tents again takes away from the secluded vibe. 3\. We stayed in both El Segundo and El Primero, and found both to be actually nicer than a motel room in terms of privacy and enjoyment! We got to meet the owners on Saturday afternoon as they came to do some regular maintenance on the place, and we enjoyed our visit with them. The road in and out of the place is more than adequate. Yurts were clean and cozy. Having AC was awesome, because it does indeed still heat up in the mountains during the summer. Sunset views were awesome. Two things I would make people aware of: VRBO advertises itself as different because you get the whole place to yourself. There are two other yurts right next to you, so the privacy is a bit lacking. I don’t mind much though, and there are trees separating the other guests, but you will hear and see others. Second, the last half mile to the place is an unpaved road, and it’s difficult to traverse in a non-high clearance vehicle.
