Communication with Skykes Cottages was very process heavy tho - we received so many useless emails before the booking, then during the trip there was so many different people to talk to for every problem. "Rooms were clean and all staff were lovely. The food onsite is decent but expensive. You now have to pay for parking £6 upon checking in. The family room however, we’ve outgrown. It’s a sofa bed and not ideal for two teenagers.the double beds also feel incredibly small. They need to expand some of the room sizes to accommodate more comfortable beds."

Only down side was lack of air conditioning, there were fans in the room which helped slightly but the hotel cannot control the outside 35C temperature. The hotel was lovely with very friendly staff. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the menu had plenty of choices. Breakfast was self service with a wide selection of choices available. The hotel was an ideal location for walking (30 mins) or driving into the town centre. We did not have time to use the leisure facilities."
