The studio is located on a ground floor of the barn which is perfect for people who cannot handle stairs very well. It is one of three self contained units on the property. There is a main house and carriage house. The carriage house contains the studio on the first floor and loft on the upper floor. The cozy space has a mini frig, microwave, and coffee maker. Also, the studio comes with access to the shared back yard. We have used VRBO many times & have had good, if not great experiences. Our host was very good with communication prior to & the day we arrived-we found we had no utensils, cups or plates. They were dropped off quickly. We had some issues with the room- there was a broken chair, the toilet wasn't working properly & the seat was broken, the TV was stuck in demo mode & the remote had dead batteries, so we couldn't control the sound. Another thing, the above tenants had a dog that barked for over 2 hours when they went out. He did it the next night too. We decided to deal with it & message our host the next day. In the morning, we went to make coffee & found the previous tenant had left a dirty filter & pot & there were no filters to use. I messaged the host about what I listed here & never got a response. I was tempted to pack up & leave, not stay the second night, but we did-it was paid for. For the money spent, the place should have been in good shape & basic things like utensils/cups/coffee filters should have been there as advertised. I was disappointed that the couch & rug were as beat/torn up as they were-the photographs weren't accurate. & I'm a pet owner & appreciate places that welcome them. However, if your dog has anxiety when you leave & howls & barks incessantly, other arrangements should be made. Invest in real flatware & dishes- you said you're "eco-friendly". We had to change our dates twice due to bad travel weather, namely snow storms. The bed was very comfortable. Stayed 1 night in Mar 2023 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Lydia P. 20 Jul 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Weekend stay We stayed at this house for a weekend to attend the annual Ukrainian festival which was only 10 miles down the road. We were gone most of the day , but the house and location was just perfect for our needs. It had a fridge, coffee pot, microwave and water cooler with fresh, clean and cold water. The studio was very spacious for two people. The only suggestion I have is to bring your own bath towels even though they were provided. Finally, the barn is adorable. Thank you, Frank ##### Lydia P. The host gave us a refund but vrbo took $68\. non returnable. We are both widow and widower and have and have tight budgets at the loss. Stayed 2 nights in Sep 2023 ### 4/10 Poor #### Helayne 21 Jul 2024 Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication This property is in terrible condition. The couch is full of rips and tears, the caning on one of the chairs is entiry ripped so it is unusable, no water pressure in the shower, theshower doir sticks in its track, there is an odd odor in the place, and the paint is bubbling off the walls in the bathroom. Communication with the landlord was terrible.
