"Do not disturb sign"

Posted 24-Sep-2016
Pros: Reasonable price
Cons: SECURITY
Location: It was convenient
The "Do not disturb" sign was ignored by staff. After I left the room for the day I came back to find the room had been entered and furniture "A chair" was removed. To say the least I felt violated since I left all my belongings out as I would have not without the sign up. After I put in a formal complaint they weren't sure what to do about the problem. I stayed for 5 days and this happened early into the stay and made me uncomfortable the rest of the visit. I felt I should have been due a total refund but they only gave me a comp for my next "stay" which was only 1 night. I'm unsure if I will take them up on the next stay If they can not seem to control the staff from doing as they please and ignore my privacy for their convenience of doing their work. I was also unable to get a bath towel the entire rest of the time when I asked the maid service since I was not allowing anyone into my room the entire stay. Needless to say I was uneasy the rest of the stay.

Basic Comforts & Ample Breakfast Options

Posted 16-Sep-2016
Pros: Convenient access to major highways; numerous breakfast options in motel; proximity to local restaurants serving dinner; pleasant staff.
Cons: If plastic ice buckets had a cover, it would be easier to keep ice frozen for longer.
Location: Our visit was planned at the last minute and was required by a family emergency, so there was no opportunity to explore the area.
This is a very conveniently located motel, with basic creature comforts. Our room was simply appointed with simple furnishings, but it had everything we cared about and/or needed (cleanliness, comfortable beds, decent towels, basic toiletries, a hair dryer, ironing board, TV, WiFi, nearby ice machine, free parking) as well as a few pleasant surprises (microwave, already plugged in cold refrigerator). Considering that the modest room rate also included a complimentary breakfast, we thought it was a great find and served our short-term needs perfectly. Breakfast options included self-service pancakes, oatmeal and cold cereals, bagels, rolls, muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, hot chocolate, coffee, and even some special coffee drinks. If one is seeking elegant accommodations or a hotel with attractive grounds, it's best to look elsewhere but the price will probably be double or triple what Econo Lodge charges and might not even include breakfast.

Clean and Budget Friendly Hotel

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Pros: Low price but clean and close to highway
Cons: Add fruit to the breakfast menu
The room is clean, breakfast is OK with New York Bagel. Very close to the highway and easy access to everywhere. Keep in mind that this is a budget hotel!

Party, Alkohol, schlechtes Publikum

Posted 04-Sep-2016

Nice older hotel

Posted 21-Aug-2016
This Econo Lodge is older but clean and affordable. If you need to save money but feel safe and get a good nights rest, this is a great option. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Our room plumbing leaked and dripped and there's no air conditioning in the hallways but other than that, we were pleased. We've stayed here twice.

Very nice, very clean hotel-short walk to beach.

Posted 03-Aug-2016
Pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was...by far the best jersey shore hotel I've ever stayed in for the price. Convenient parking. 5 minute walk to beach and boardwalk. Highly recommended.

Never stay at EconoLodge again

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Had to use Febreeze constantly to mask smelly room. Stunk of smoke, mold, sweat. I will never again even think of staying at Econo Lodge. "Free Continental breakfast" consisted of coffee machine and packets of creamer. There was no food to be had. The breqkfastw area was in a Florida room with a table and no air conditioning. Ice machine produced watery ice. Overall very dissatisfied.

I picked this hotel due to proximity to LIRR and local shopping, as well as price

FRIENDLIEST STAFF

Posted 20-Jun-2016 on Hotels
I've never met a friendlier hotel staff, especially Tom in Facilties. Our room looked as though it had just received new mattresses, pillows, linens and bathroom make-over. I peeked into another room and it looked the same. Carpet could stand to be replaced, but not horrible. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and was grateful for a Target, Stop & Shop and laundromat close-by. I hope I'll be staying there again.
