"The picture in the ad is very misleading, our room looked nothing like the ad. The rooms are a little dated, but were comfortable, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our visit after the intial disappointment of the room not looking like the ad. The driveway to the property isa little tricky."

"Had a great stay! Very close to RMNP and having the kitchen to cook and hot tub for post-mountain adventure relaxing were wonderful. I got my registration link and filled that out which generated the door code. The code actually didn’t work (9pm arrival) but a quick call to the number provided and I had a back-up code that worked and all was well. Would stay again!"

"I read a lot of reviews prior to booking ! I’ve visited the Stanley 10 years ago and then again this week. So here are my thoughts. We enjoyed it , the staff was excellent.. Stayed at the Lodge , small no frills room. But , so what .. It’s a historic hotel ,.. It’s charming.. Door stays unlocked , no security , people are free to come in and out .. It’s located next to the Main Hotel .. With that being said , Yes.. there’s a lot construction but it didn’t bother us .. The main hotel is different ( to me ) it’s kinda dirty .. stains on carpet etc the front of the hotel used to be all open .. Now , half of it is blocked with tables spilling over from the “ Wine Room “. The other side has futons. Most have stains etc .. The back of the Cascades use to have an open fire pit & a lot of area to walk around , plus a lot more buildings. This area is no longer .. it’s all closed .. There is limited space to sit or walk around There is a maze and a little patio area but no seats If you are going for the Vibe , Spooky Season etc you will enjoy. If your spending more time in your room then this may not be the place for you ."

"Excellent stay in every way. We were there for more than a week. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Nice room nice hot tub great staff great continental breakfast. Can’t recommend it highly enough."

"Rustic 2 bedroom cabin. It was clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Kitchen area was clean but poorly supplied example 1 cereal bowl, eating utensils were old and limited. Kitchen table scratched and had to be from the 1960's. Living area furniture was poor, the futon was so uncomfortable to sit on, can't image what it would be like to sleep on. The recliner chairs were so old the plastic on them crumbled on your clothes and on the floor. Despite this I would return, as the area was convenient and peaceful. Every morning a flock of turkeys would pass by. Also the restaurant is in walking distance from the cabin."
