Our family had the best time! The house was very clean and so well stocked with plenty of towels, kitchen needs. The furnishings were great and beds comfortable. The outdoor views, porches, dock, firepit made our stay so enjoyable. Very responsive host.
Wonderful weekend with family at this beautiful home on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee. Plenty of room. Very clean and well supplied in kitchen as well as towels in each of the 3 baths. Quiet and serene neighborhood. Owner was easy to work with and did everything possible to make our stay as wonderful as it was. We highly recommend this place. Everyone in our family wants to go back in the Summer to enjoy even more of the benefits of this home.
We had a great time staying at this house. It is right on the lake, has a dock with kayaks and a fire pit, and a nice outdoor deck area. Would definitely recommend.
Couldn't have been better! Anna was super helpful and responsive. The property is beautiful! We rented a pontoon boat and thoroughly enjoyed Lake Chatuge. Great place to stay - highly recommend!
Just perfect for our 18th wedding anniversary!. Location, amenities, shops, and dining were outstanding! The house was very well furnished with all of the necessities needed for our stay. Oh btw, the view of the lake and mountains were wonderful! Thank you, Anna!
The house is comfortable, roomy and spotless. The deck is perfect for lounging, dining and relaxing. We rented a pontoon boat for two days and docked it at the house so we could use it anytime. There are toys galore for water activities right off the dock, and kayaks for exploring. The lake is beautiful, and warm for comfortable swimming. The house is set up nicely for families. We were 8 and never felt crowded at all. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Several restaurants close by and wonderful hiking everywhere. The host was the best of the best, and I highly recommend this property. Diane
This house was perfect in every way. House was exactly as described.. clean, beautiful and stocked well. Right on the lake. It was the perfect spot for my family and I. We will definitely be back. The host was very responsive. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. Can't wait to come back!!
We had a great time at this house. Was a great opportunity to get together with family for Labor Day weekend!
This house has everything anyone could ask for. We stayed in a day and watched college football and enjoyed great food. Second day we rented a boat and explored the lake!
Highly highly recommend this house. The host was very easy to communicate with.
The house and grounds are pretty awesome. A unique feature of this property is having multiple kayaks available (3 kayaks + 1 canoe) that let us take whole family kayaking trips on beautiful Lake Chatuge. The host was awesome too. We needed a baby gate and the host went out of her way to round one up for us. Very nice exoerience.
This is a beautiful home and a great value. The photos do not show how nice this home is. We spent the weekend with family and took the boat. It was great to have a boat slip at the house. The home is great value with everything we wanted and needed with plenty of space. The home has a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains. It is conveniently close enough to town and still has plenty of privacy. We are planning on staying here again.
Getting our kids together for one week is tricky enough. Having an insanely stocked house just makes it perfect!! We changed it up whereas the big kids have to cook a night and we couldn’t be more pleased with what was readily available. And I didn’t have to cook and clean. The location was perfect and the communication top notch?! Lots of laughs with the pool Tournaments and games they had handy. Couldn’t be more pleased.
Stayed for a week with family. Great views of the mountains. Road noise was a drawback but love having lake access and overall enjoyed a lot of time relaxing on the outside deck. We swam, canoed and kayaked right off the dock and even rented a boat down the road. Visited local wineries and enjoyed local restaurants. Wifi not strong enough upstairs as no/low signal many times on main floor. Kitchen well equipped. Nice that theres a grill as well. No beach/lake towels provided so needed to bring ours from home. Would definitely recommend and return.
This was a very nice house to stay in. The open concept was conducive to family time. The weather did not cooperate like I was hoping and the leaves were not turning very much yet which I was hoping for. My main issue with the house was that the beds were not comfortable. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. We didn't get to enjoy the kayaks like we were hoping because of the weather but we did enjoy the fire pit for hot dogs and smores. There were lots of pool tournaments also. The area was beautiful and we felt perfectly safe.
We stayed for a week in late April 2025. Communication by the property owner both prior and during our visit was flawless. The house is laid out very well with plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and has a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. It is also equipped with anything/everything one might need (plates, utensils, small appliances, sheets, washer/dryer, etc). We thoroughly enjoyed the covered dock, and left our 22ft boat moored there for the duration of our stay; this also made daily lake ventures all the more convenient. The location makes for a great "home-base" if exploring the surrounding area too. Vogel State Park, Brasstown Bald, Duke Creek Falls, Bell Mountain, and Helen, just to name a few, are all within a 30 minute drive. Only two things I feel are worth mentioning that aren't immediately apparent until arriving: 1) Traffic can absolutely be heard from the road (US-76) across the lake. This did not bother our group at all, but may affect someone expecting absolute silence while enjoying the lake/mountain views from the back deck. 2) It is approximately 46 steps down to the dock, and obviously that many back up. Careful planning is necessary when lugging things back/forth, especially if heavy. If one has mobility issues, this needs to be taken into account. Personally I found the steps enjoyable however, as it provided a great impromptu method of getting some exercise while on vacation. Overall we had an amazing stay, highly recommended.
Loved the large rooms and openness. The fireplace was great for the cold weather so cosy. We have friends in area, so we’re able to have dinner and card games. Would go back for sure.
