We also loved shell collecting walks on the beach across the road - and it is a handy 10minute walk to the RSL which we went to a birthday party on the Saturday night. All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. The food is nice at the bistro next door and seems popular on the weekly special nights with the locals too. My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about how much fun she had on all the amazing playgrounds around the Bay and it was just so nice to be able to come back and relax in the afternoons at a clean and comfortable place - my daughter even braved a quick chilly dip in the hotel pool a couple of times. There was a duvet on the bed but no blanket or doona (and it is winter) so it was cold. The rooms were very tired and quite dirty. Food was excellent. Room was clean but so old and needed a revamp. The location was fantastic. Overall it was a good stay. The hotel does need a a upgrade to a more modern look to make it feel more clean.
