Especially if walking - and you can do the hill as all uphill there and all downhill back. Service was so welcoming and food was excellent. One of the best English breakfasts at a hotel ever for me - going on quality. Room was.comfortable and as you would expect from a village pub. Convenient back door so didnt have to walk through pub with bags. When we arrived we were welcomed by the pub dog, and a very friendly barmaid. We were at a wine tasting tour in chiltern and the staff helped us with directions. The evening meal was of high standard and service. We couldn’t fault it. As was the room and breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.
