I stayed at Yellow house during low season in the middle of the week. Still I was a little surprised I was the only guest there during my stay. In some ways this was nice to have the place all to myself since it is a gorgeous but simple paradise to live in. Downside to this stay is the location, it is a little bit in between Kenting and Hengchun with nothing really around, some type of vehicle to get around during this stay is strongly recommended even if there is a bus running past the bigger road outside. Another downside to my stay was that even if breakfast was included in the booking I only got it first morning. The bar/restaurant was not open either to get something while hanging out there even if the menu was quite basic. Surely I can understand opening the kitchen for one person doesn’t make sense but some dishes didn’t require any real cooking. I think either provide the service proclaimed or add some deviations to the info concerning low season of what won’t be offered. Or better yet maybe during weekdays in low season to simply not accept guests. Staff seemed a bit bothered about my stay and that bothered me and eventually I left one night earlier than I paid for. I got the feeling this is a really cool place to stay in during high season or if you are a bigger group wanting something more private during the low season. For a single traveller during low season it is not optimal.
