"Stuart was very communicative, answering usually within minutes. Facilities are great, very comfortable place with good choices of rooms. We didn't get to use the hot tub as much as we'd have liked, as on arrival, we had a meal out booked soon, so the first night was out. The first day weather was terrible, none stop rain till the evening, so it wasn't comfortable to be outside much, then the second day we were out most of the day."

"We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!"

"The property was excellent. Table football, trampoline in the garden and gym in the garage kept the younger members of our party well occupied. The added bonus of an on-site tennis court was much appreciated. The position of the was peaceful in spite of a busy main road nearby. Our hosts were ever helpful no matter how many times we contacted them. Will definitely be looking for another stay in the future."

"This property is beautiful. A true gem. The GF apartment was spotlessly clean, fabulously equipped and so quiet and comfortable. A beautiful garden with outdoor seating came with this apartment. Neal was very easy to communicate with and so friendly when we met him (and his lovely family). Some great treats including croissants, jams, cake, crisps, milk and butter were provided. "A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"

"Very nice welcome from the lady in reception (warm cookies a brilliant touch). The hotel is brilliant, the bar, restaurant, rooms and the little fitness centre. Only missing a pool/spa. The only negative element was the parking; £15 for 15 hours, not many spaces and very cramped. Would be better used as a pool and spa and use the car park on the corner ;) Very satisfied with the stay!"
