Good bits: location is centre of town, close to bus stops and near restaurants and other eateries; they try hard with free facilities like tea and coffee and two saunas; breakfast was fine.
Bad bits: Very pricey, these are more than London prices for a basic, rural hotel; it's showing it age in many ways but it just about copes to provide modern basic facilities.
For the ski-er, there is now a ski-run ending 200 meters on the other side of the main road and the ski-bus stops nearby to take you back to the ski-centre and the lifts two miles up the road.
