The location was stunning with the ocean on one side and the volcano on the other side. Very quiet and tiny village with a couple great restaurants/coffee shop. Within walking distance to the trail head of the Hellnar-Arnarstapi hike. The cottage was cozy and the beds comfy. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Perfectly based location for a few days at snaefellsnes. We really love the accommodation, it has a nice interieur and the contact to Jacob was also fine. He is intested that everything works fine for your stay at his house.
Good place to see the northern lights, because its quite remote. Highly recommendation but you have to know that you have to clean at the end of your stay
A fantastically situated house with the sea on one side and Snaefellsjökull on the other. For our stay in Iceland this accommodation was our third and the most beautiful. Very clean and modern, nicely furnished with very comfortable beds. Uncomplicated and fast communication with the landlords rounded off the super positive overall picture. We are very happy to come back! Many thanks to Elsa&Jakob!
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is absolutely beautiful. Everything is brand new and it looks like it must have been professionally decorated. It was very cozy and comfortable, and it was perfect for our family. It was spotlessly clean. Our kids absolutely loved the stairs leading to the bedrooms (just note they are steep and may be difficult for people with mobility issues, but they were fine for us). You do have to clean the unit and do the laundry before you leave, so just make sure you plan for that in your schedule - all cleaning supplies were provided. It was a great location for us, and the host was very accommodating and responsive. The neighborhood is very nice and plenty of parking. Black out shades were great for the midnight sun.
A lovely simple comfortable cottage with stunning views of the volcano and glacier, and views out to the sea. Bring binoculars we saw dolphins from the house. The cottage is warm and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The stairs are very steep so be aware of this for small children and older visitors. We had a fantastic time lots of walks close by a lovely bay a short walk away . It is quite an isolated location so bring food drink and entertainment if required. Be prepared to spend your last day washing and cleaning. It takes some time to wash and dry all bedding. Would go back though it was a beautiful introduction to Iceland. We were so lucky and saw whales Orca and Minke plus a Basking shark and seals near by. Lots of bird life. North of the peninsular is well worth a visit, we heard Sèa Eagles and the landscape was stunning. Thank you for an amazing stay.
The location was gorgeous, perfect for the sunrise and set. There were beautiful Northern Lights right outside the door. It’s also located close to breathtaking experiences and tours. The cottage is cozy and clean, really cute! Would recommend!
Fantastic surroundings. Astonishing sceneries on the Snaefellsnes peninsula and the jökul.
Very nice and cosy cottage.

Amazing Hellner Hidaway
We absolutely loved this place. The area and cottage are amazing and we had lots to do for the four days we stayed. The crowning glory was we opened the front door and were greeted by an amazing Aurora Light Show. We would definitely like to spend more time here.
Very pleasant, we had everything we need .
There are steep staires in the House to the bedrooms, no Problem for us, But it could be a challenge for other persons.
This was such a beautiful spot. We watched the Aurora right on the property two of our four nights there. We saw whales down by the shore. Do keep in mind that cleaning takes a bit, mainly waiting for the laundry. We had to fly out in the afternoon so had to wake up super early to finish it all, but just know that going in. Otherwise the place is well worth staying.

Perfect mix of nature and style
Situated amidst the beautiful surrounding of Hellnar the cottage got everything for a perfect stay: well kept and well equipped, cozy, brilliant views to the glacier (even from out of bed!) and to the sea and a nice selection of puzzle and DVDs.
Clear and useful instructions for the technical aspects and information about attractions in the area are available. However, if questions arise the owner responds immediately to any request.
Horse riding, hiking and far more excursions are imminently available within 15min drives, two restaurants in Hellnar itself offer their service - Overall an excellent plave to spend relaxing holidays for the whole family mixed with exciting excursions.

Extraordinary house in spectacular nature
A very well cared for and maintained house , perfectly equipped with everything you need to feel at home . We spent a wonderful week at this warm and cosy house ! All pictures in the information represent perfectly what to expect . You will still be overwhelmed by the atmosphere of that special place in iceland ! There is lots to see and do in the vicinity : hiking , horseback-riding and observing Aurora Borealis !! And should there be some stormy weather - you are staying in such a cosy , comfortable and warm house - you won't be worried at all. The owner was very helpful in giving tips on where to shop groceries , to dine etc. We stayed a week and loved every day we had ! It was the last property we stayed at after 17 days of circling Iceland - and by far the loveliest house . We would love to return one day:))
Alles vorhanden was man benötigt.
