Everything was great. The Chalet was perfect for my sister's week. It was very comfortable and homey.
The town of Helen, the nearby falls and parks were equally fun and delightful.
No complaints. The whole trip was awesome!
My summary is that this home was perfect for us. Everything we needed was provided. This place is so quiet, all you heard are the birds. You are close to water falls, Helen, Cleveland and the country side if you just want to sightsee.
This property was great for our family. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, listened to all the birds and enjoyed the fall colors. Spent time in the hot tub everyday.
We loved this chalet! The pictures do not do it justice! The hot tub was huge, the upstairs was adorable and the red heater was spectacular! They provide a packnplay which was perfect because we forgot ours. The communication was above and beyond. We will be coming back next year for sure!
This is a beautiful cabin has everything you may need for your stay. We had two adults and three teenagers and there was plenty of room. It is located century to hiking,Helen, and Ruby falls. If I had to suggest anything it would be probably to upgrade the TVs and maybe put a TV in the two spare bedrooms there is a TV in the master bedroom but not the other two bedrooms not that this was a big problem at all (except for my 16 18 year old lol) the property manager Steve was super easy to communicate with and even though we really didn't have any problems I felt very comfortable if we did he would have took care of it pretty quickly.
The cabin is even prettier than the pictures. We loved the remote location and the quiet beauty of the woods. We thoroughly enjoyed having a fire in the wood stove each night. The kitchen is not large but was sufficient for our needs. We brought a group of six women for a prayer retreat and the table and living room were perfect for our size group. The king size bed upstairs was very comfortable. Some of the women said the queen size beds downstairs were a little hard. Everyone agreed that the cabin was very comfortable and pleasant in general. We never did find a firepit, though. Maybe we misunderstood the listing. The hot tub is outside and looks beautiful, but we enjoyed the wood stove so much we never got in the hot tub. I would stay here again.

10 Acres? Where?
We arrived late Friday night. Upon arrival we noticed no one had swept the massive amount of leaves. With it being dark and wet, we definitely could have fallen very easily. My husband spent Saturday morning sweeping the deck, stairs, and hot tub area.
We were expecting a very quiet, weekend. While we did get that, we also had neighbors we could hear. Very clearly. With the listing advertising 10+ acres we were absolutely not expecting that.
We unfortunately could not figure out how to turn the heat on downstairs. It was pretty chilly in the mornings. The fireplace was absolutely needed & they supplied wood.
The TV in the living room has been updated since the last pictures. This did not affect us, however, there is no TV in the two bedrooms on the main floor. Only the master.
The master bed was decently comfortable. The house was moderately cleaned. I would definitely suggest looking everywhere when cleaning. We found someone’s entire retainer under the bed…..
We did not need them, but as a parent I was extremely thankful to see they had a high chair, a booster seat, kids books, kids movies, a few games, and even a pack n play! Definitely some hidden bonuses!
The drive in to the cabin is gorgeous. Definitely in fall, the leaves are changing and it’s beautiful. Overall the stay was okay. I would not book here again though.
The cabin was amazing. Sits off the main road a good ways and surrounded by woods. Inside was really nice and had everything you will need. Hot tub was really nice having a cover over it. I will definitely book this place again.
Great communication with host. The Chalet was beautifully decorated for Christmas , had everything we needed , really enjoyed the wood burning stove . Location was great and private but not too far from town . Already booked another trip to stay here ! Perfect little family get away !
Repeat visit to Mountain Laurel Chalet/Sautee/Helen for anniversary. Awesome area with lots to do. Mountain Laurel Chalet is a great “home away from home”, and the owner is extremely nice, accommodating, and excellent with communication.

The chalet was WONDERFUL! Such a beautiful setting, and it was stocked with everything you could need. It’s exactly as pictured which is rare. The host, Steve, was easy to communicate with as well. We can’t wait to go back!

The moment you walk in the door you know you are home. It was lovely, clean, welcoming, convenient, and a perfect fit for our sibling weekend.
We loved the home and encourage everyone to stay there.
it was also really close to all of Helen activities. The drive was simple and short to anything you wanted to do.
We had a wonderful stay. Very spacious house in the mountains for my family of 6. Will be back!!
House was very accommodating for our family of 6 and had 5 beds which was great. Kitchen was stocked and easy to cook breakfast and dinners for everyone. Loved the layout of the house, wifi worked great, fireplace was awesome, hottub with perfect!! Only a 15min drive to Helen for daily outings and supply runs. Can't wait to visit Moutain Laurel Chalet in the summer!!
What a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Perfect getaway to entertain out of state friends. Steve, as before, you and your family has provided the perfect platform for a great weekend. We will be doing it again real soon! 😃
We were glad to be away from the Hustle and bustle of Helen at times. Our communications with Steve was spot on. We do believe some of the foliage was overgrown, maybe it is manicured and trimmed back in the spring. The beds were comfortable and it was a pleasant experience
