It was nice to be within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Helen, but then be able to easily stroll back to enjoy a relaxing campfire or a dip in the hot tub away from the crowded few blocks of town. I loved having a little escape being away from the city, but could pop down to the town for a coffee when needed. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and check in/out was simple. It was perfect for two people. The listing said "a fully stocked kitchen awaits you", but other than pots & pans and some spices that was not the case. There was nothing in the fridge or freezer I didn't see any coffee or other essentials. Maybe their definition of fully stocked is different than mine (or maybe I missed something!). Feels private and secluded but it's just a short walk to "downtown" Helen. Well appointed kitchen had everything we needed to cook a couple of meals during our stay, and the hot tub & fire pit were perfect spots to relax after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. While we did not need anything during our stay host is great and very communicative, they actually checked in on an issue we did not even have bc they heard a nearby cabin had the problem. Highly recommend. Helen is a lot of fun especially during Oktoberfest and there are some amazing hikes just a short drive from this property! ##### Rob D.
