I agree with other reviewers that the pictures don’t quite do it justice. Beds are comfy with good quality linens. We loved the tiny secret garden which is a real sun trap! We stayed for three nights as we were attending two performances at Glyndebourne - a half hour drive away. A lovely place to stay and well placed for exploring the surrounding area, including easy access to Cuckoo Trail. Heathfield nearby has plenty of shops, including Sainsbury's, Waitrose, an excellent deli (Cuculo) and very good fish and chips (Nemo). The Chapel has a well equipped kitchen, good sized shower room and toilet and nice, airy bedrooms. The living room, in the main well of the building, is stunning.
