The Switchback House was built in the early 1900's and has recently been fully remodeled. Families find this to be the perfect home to share memories. Our home is in a quiet area of West Broadway, yet still within walking distance to the Historic District. The house even sits on an access point to the famous Switchback Trail - perfect for hiking and biking! Jim Thorpe also offers whitewater rafting or winter activities at Blue Mountain. The main shopping and dining area of the town is a few blocks' walk down the hill. Bedrooms were comfortable and private, the kids (age 5 & 7) enjoyed the attic TV room, and the kitchen had all that we needed to cook meals. Private parking was a big plus and we even took the kids on a short hike on the Switchback Trail right outside of the back yard. This would be a great spot in all seasons.
