Bears Den on the private lake
The Bears Den is a private cabin, located on a private lake that does not have public boat access. There are neighbors on either side making this property suitable for families, or a small to group, to relax and enjoy a peaceful setting. This property showcases Perch Lake in a panoramic view. While you are on the dock you can observe picturesque sunrises and sunsets while observing Lake Wildlife. Sawyer County ATV/Snowmobile trails are minutes away and accessible from the property. Inside you will find a tv, dvds, radio, books and games. The cabin does not have internet or cable/satellite. There is a dock and a storage shed that has PFDs, inflatables and camp chairs. You are welcome to use whatever is in there. A paddle boat and row boat are available for your use. A fire pit is located near the storage shed. (WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT WE WILL HAVE EVERY SIZE PFD THAT YOU MAY NEED, SO PLEASE BRING WHAT YOU KNOW YOU WILL NEED) There is a charcoal grill, and grilling utensils by the garage. The grill can NOT be used on the deck at any time for any reason. When you arrive you will notice a dumpster to the left of the driveway for garbage. We also provide a bin for recycling and a bin for cans only. A new septic drain field was installed late Fall 2019, so you will see work being done to the lawn in that area. However, this should not inhibit your ability to use or enjoy the property as it is on the hill behind the garage. We provide starter paper towel, toilet paper and garbage bags. There are sheets, blankets and pillows for every bed. Each bathroom has wash clothes, hand towels, small and large bath towels. The upper bathroom has a washer and dryer. The kitchen has dishes, pots/pans, utensils, a dishwasher (we provide the soap), microwave, toaster, stove/oven (LP), coffee maker and Fridge. There is an eating area in lower level that has dishes, utensils, a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and full size fridge (in the storage room). We welcome our guests to use whatever they may need. All we ask is that everything is returned to where it was found. We do not have control over fish biting, mosquitos, gnats, weather or any other part of nature. You may find a cobweb outside (they are created by humidity), dust on an outside table, leaves that have blown on to the deck, or something else created by a natural occurrence.

The lake was great and the living situation for our large group was very comfortable. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because there was no hot water. The showers were absolutely freezing. Besides that everything was great.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Loved the nice bunk beds besides the regular beds. Of course, the highlight was being right on the lake, and there were plenty of lake toys (floaties, canoe, paddle boats) provided. We also enjoyed the campfires with wood that was provided. Everything was good for our family's enjoyment of our yearly vacation. We would definitely want to stay again if we are in the area. We also especially loved to listen to, and see, the loons.
Well outfitted cabin - had a group of 10 and had plenty of space, cooking-ware, and plates. Hosts were very responsive. Kids enjoyed splashing in the water and swimming back and forth from the swim platform. Would stay again.
Large family lake home with many nice additional items. Loved the swimming, fishing and boating items. Beautiful deck, large gathering places for our families. Many places to sleep. Lots of games , movies and books to use for the whole family!
This property was perfect for our large family vacation. We had 6 adults and 4 children. The downstairs was nice to provide a bit of separation and space for the family. We would definitely rent again. Bring your own spices - including basic seasonings/salt/pepper, etc. and other cooking necessities however.
We needed a place for 2 nights for a family funeral in Winter and this cabin was perfect! While we didn't get to take advantage of all the lake and the property had to offer...it was very clean, very well organized, and had everything we needed, including WIFI (the listing says it has internet in the amenities section, but says it doesn't in the description, hence the 4 stars for description accuracy). When we come to visit Mom/Grandma in the future, we would definitely come back and stay here!
We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. The views of the lake are amazing. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake, using the fire pit, fishing off the dock and the row boat. The cabin is decorated very nice and gives you that "up north" feeling. The cabin is very spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the location and had a great time. We went into town for breakfast at the Lakewood Cafe - excellent food and atmosphere. Great choice if you want the lake/cabin/up north experience!
A total of 10 of us stayed and the property was plenty big enough. Lots of bedrooms & space. Lake was beautiful, we did lots of fishing & kayaking. Only issue was that because the property doesn't have air conditioning (which doesn't bother me) it does get damp in the lower level. If we were staying longer we probably would have had to contact the property manager about it but we were only there 2 nights so it didn't get really damp until the night before we left. Overall beautiful location, nice place, lots of room.
lots of room, outside of the house needs a lot of cleaning. Not much for a dock. Great Fishing. Paddle Boat was broken. Way too many mosquitoes.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Large home with lots of space!
We enjoyed our time at the home. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. We enjoyed being on the lake swimming and fishing. Disappointed that owners did not provide the canoe/kayaks as promised in advertisement. House appears to have A/C, but it didn’t work. When we called, the manager was rude and said “it’s not for your use” even though we could see canoes and kayaks in the locked garage. Many people commented on how fun the pontoon was, but we didn’t have the option. We were told very rudely “it’s not for your use and my family is using it anyway”. She eventually apologized for her rudeness-she said she was hot. We were too since there wasn’t A/C.
This place was as described. On a peaceful quiet lake. Dock was great to have quiet mornings. We spent majority of our time there. Caught lots of fish. Paddle boat was great to take out and fish on as well. The swimming platform is nice. So much room in the house for the entire family to spread out. Kitchen well stocked. Bring your basic spices/pantry items however. Lots of extra blankets were nice to have. Fire pit was welled used by us all day everyday. Deck area has plenty of seating and great place to relax. A wonderful place to get away from everything and unwind.
Very clean, large property. Lots of sleeping accommodations- three bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. Works well for multiple families.
I would recommend bringing beach towels and a line to hang suits for drying. Possibly your own wood for the firepit.
The paddle boat and row boat were enjoyed by all. Great lake for fishing!
Loved the property! The listing was absolutely accurate, and the setting prettier than the pictures.
The house is well laid out, with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths. Kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of dishes, flatware, pots and pans. Full-size refrigerator and stove. The deck overlooking the lake was excellent.
Nice dock and a fun swimming platform were great. The lake itself is fairly large, but surprisingly quiet.
Super easy communications, and easy to follow directions.
I would recommend this property to anyone and we certainly hope to return.
The property was incredibly well kept and organized, they also provided plenty of materials at the location. Plates, cups, eating utensils, towels, washer/dryer, blankets, pillows, etc. Nicole was great to talk to and was very communicative! Would definitely recommend!
