Tucked away in a quiet location and the perfect base to explore of St Ives, Hayle with its wide estuary, glorious sandy beaches and dunes.. 1 step to entrance.

The Nest is the perfect property for guests looking for a peaceful retreat and are just a short drive away from the picturesque harbour and beaches of St Ives. The Nest is a small, one bedroom cottage attached to the owner’s home and is perfect for couples looking for a tranquil retreat.

The A30 is within easy reach, ensuring easy access to west Cornwall and the rugged north coastline. Take the scenic coastal train from nearby St Erth station right into St Ives, or there are park and ride facilities available a mile away. St Ives is home to the Tate Art Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum, as well as having winding streets full of small shops, galleries, restaurants and cafés. The wide estuary, sand dunes and long sandy beaches of Hayle stretches along the coast to Godrevy Lighthouse, Gwithian and Portreath beyond. Just a short drive will take you to Land’s End, Penzance, Sennen Cove and Newquay.

Birdwatchers will love the nearby marshes at Marazion and the Hayle Estuary, which both attract bird enthusiasts from around the UK. The area attracts some amazing wildlife including dolphins, basking sharks, seals and sea birds. There are a number of local pubs serving good food, and a nearby garden centre which serves breakfast. National Trust gardens, coastal walks, golf, cycling, water sports and horse riding are all available locally. The area is great for summer holidays, and also appeals to visitors who love to explore the quiet stormy beaches in the winter months. Beach 3 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ¼ mile.

We have just returned home from a fabulous week in Cornwall and loved staying at the Nest as it was perfect for our needs. We’ll set up even a BBQ on the patio. We had our little dog with us and the cottage was very cool in the heat and suited her very well, she’s very old!The Nest was very comfortable, in a fabulous location especially for touring the westerly parts of Cornwall. Local restaurants Birdies & the Forge I’d highly recommend. as the weather was glorious all week we spend a few days at Hayle Beach, quieter than the main beaches but just as glorious with the added bonus of Gilbert’s beach bar, perfect food and drink- highly recommended! All within 5 minutes of The Nest so no need to go into the busy towns looking for an evening meal. Would totally recommend! 😁

Fantastic Cornwall base for couples

We had a lovely three weeks at this property. Owners were available during our stay any time we needed advice about the local area. Property was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Although a small property it was airy and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend and hope to return again at some point.

Cosy nest for 2

Super immaculate and tastefully decorated, just the right size for 2 people and a pooch. Really impressed with the amenities and friendliness of hosts who had bags of information about the area, will recommend to all our family and friends.
