House was very clean when we arrived, check in process was very smooth and easy and the host was quick with communication if we needed anything. Great place to stay would do again!
This A-frame cabin on top of a hill in the cute community of Harvey's Lake was great for a relaxing woodsy getaway. It's on the smaller side and only has 1 bathroom and 1 tv, but there are plenty of sleeping areas and a large outdoor space. It's close to Seven Tubs Recreation Area, Ricketts Glen State Park, and many quaint eateries.
Great time with family. Beautiful forest area with blooming native mountain laurel. Our kids loved exploring the area and Asael was a very helpful host.
My friends and I stayed here for a weekend bachelorette. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of space to hangout and play games inside and outside. The kitchen is a little bit small for cooking big meals, but it is functional. We really enjoyed the sunroom when we were sitting around to talk. We already discussed booking another trip next year!
Me and my gf had a really nice time, it felt very private. They had everything there we might have needed including bear mace and bug repellant, plenty of firewood. The sun room was a really cozy addition to the cabin. Overall it was just a great experience!
Had a great 4th of July week stay in this quaint cottage nestled in the woods and only a short drive to the lake. Wonderful, attentive host and lovely property. Although we had to dodge some rain, we loved the outdoor fire pit space. We also enjoyed sunset swings out back and trying our hand at archery each morning. After days on the lake we were able to retire to our comfy, cozy beds and enjoy some quiet family time together. Highly recommend for a serene getaway.
Amazing property, so clean and decorated and homey, not hotel barren. I had a FULL kitchen with ALL the available cookware. It was amazing! That fact alone made it worth the price, full sized kitchen, fridge and freezer and the ability to cook! The outside areas were extensive and had it been summer we would have been outside more, picnic table area, campfire pit, outdoor games area, porch swing, and the sunroom was beautiful and comfy. We will be renting there again!
Feels like a big tree house. I stayed with my four teen/adult children and it was a comfortable size for us, with two in the first-floor bedroom, two in the loft, and one in the basement bedroom. Cute, clean kitchen, roomy bathroom with a good shower, gorgeous main living space. Nice selection of game options indoors as well as outdoors (we loved the big tree swing and archery, had fun trying the zip line but it needs repair). So many lovely little rooms and spaces to sit and relax both inside and outside the house. We enjoyed the fire pit, and there's also a grill that we didn't use. I suggest bringing matches - there was a lighter that worked, but just in case. There are also telescoping smores sticks you can use for roasting marshmallows, which is a nice touch. We didn't see a bear while we were there, although a trash can was knocked over during the night. But be bear-smart. Also if you have young kids, be very careful on all the stepping stones around the house, some are wobbly. And be aware that if you are a larger person or if you have mobility or balance issues, you may have difficulty on the very narrow staircase without a rail that leads from the basement to the main level. It's about half a mile to the lake, where visitors can go boating but apparently not swimming. Lovely drive around anyway. Easy drive to town for food etc. We loved our little vacation at the cabin and would definitely return for another visit!
We had a beautiful time her for two nights. There was room for everyone - 4 kids from 10-19 as well as my husband and myself.
The backyard was the highlight on this adorable cabin-house nestled in the woods. The kids loved the swings and the archery. We loved the fire pit, table and all the lights. We even saw a baby dawn run through the woods.
