Very friendly welcome from the owner. Apartment was clean, but very basic. Walls were brown, which was oppressive. No shampoo, which was a pain.

There a different colors available inside the rooms: chocolate, royal green and yellow corn!

Grenzmotel is located at the outskirts of Harrislee in an industrial zone. Private vehicle is required to reach there. Rooms are spacious and provide the essential amenities for an overnight stay, e.g. towels, WiFi. Overall nothing special, but sufficient.

Grentz motel
A bit out of the way and in a small business area , but if you have sat nav , no problem to find , automated check in a new and novel idea for us but worked really well . Very quiet and secluded no of little adjoining chalets . Lovely and clean , only downside was no kettle for tea / coffee in the room . Otherwise really nice overall and in fact we plan to stay again on our return trip from Norway by motorbike . If you looking for safe , quiet clean and well equipped lodgings for couple / group I would highly recommend the grentz motel

Great stop off
I arrived in the evening was left a message at the reception telling me which room was mine and where the key was left. It had been snowing quite heavily but all the access paths had been cleared. The room was excellent and very clean.

We have used Grenzmotel several times. The rooms are clean and polite staff. Easy check in / check out.

Grenzmotel is located at the outskirts of Harrislee in an area of mostly industrial activities, easily accessible to/from Padborg. Next shop or restaurant lays in at least 500 m distance. The room is reasonably comfortable, spacious and equipped with a kingsize bed. Overall Grenzmotel is usefull for basic accomodation without frills. Private vehicle helps a lot.

ok with late arrival, but bad that the hotelstaff just jumped in in the morning while we where sleeping for cleaning, without knocking the door

Very basic facility with no services and EXPENSIVE
An adequate facility that provides a very basic room and bed for the night. Value for money is ZERO! Compared to a room the previous night, the Grenzhotel offered nothing more than a room/bed near the Autobahn. No service what so ever. We didn't see a receptionist or any motel staff. About the only positive thing is that the WiFi worked very well. I wouldn't stay at the overpriced Grenzhotel again.

The rooms are comfortable. Check in/out very easy. This is the 3rd time we stay there when driving from Amsterdam to Norway.

Conveniently close to Flensburg
We found the room clean and tidy on arrival, but it was quite a trek to the local McDonalds for dinner and breakfast. Very little staff presence.

A brilliant place to overnight
Slick booking in (your name's on a notice board and your keys are in your door. The place is spotless and the parking just by your room. There's a great cafeteria a few hundred yards away opposite McDonald's. Don't pay more than 70€ or you might be disappointed by the basic nature of things. For good clean accommodation a convenient distance between Rotterdam and Scandinavia it can't be beat. I will use it again.

Good overnighter but don't expect personal service
The room was fine. We arrived in the early evening to find a note on the reception door telling us our room number and that the key was in the door. The reception is only rarely attended so be prepared not to see anyone at all on your arrival or departure. You CAN phone a number given if you have a problem or a query though. As with most of the places we stayed in across Germany there was no breatfast included in the price and this meant that almost everywhere was not up to UK value for money.

For a Motel it was quite nice. Simple service, simple but clean and adequate room. Good Italian restaurant close by. No breakfast but as we were going into Flensburg it did not matter as plenty available there.

Perfect stop for Germany/Denmark travellers!
This is an excellent motel if you're on route through Germany and Denmark. It was a bit disconcerting getting through an industrial estate at night, but once we got to our room it was brilliant. Clean, comfortable, excellent shower! The staff were courteous over the phone and it was easy to access our room despite the late hour. Highly recommended if you're in transit!

The rooms are big with Nice bed. Small bathroom with no heating on the floor. OK for 1 or 2 nights, but not for 2 weeks what We stayed. 10 minutes from centrum by car. Shopping center,cafe,MC Donalds and restaurant is nearby.

Behandling atmosfære, man får lov til at være sig selv. Der kunne måske godt savnes at værterne er til at komme i kontakt med og holder deres hunde i snor væk fra deres gæster. Lidt vel grænse overskridende at der bliver flyttet på ens snavsede tøj på gulvet. Ellers super hyggeligt sted, kan godt anbefales til andre der gerne vil grænsehandle og snuppe et par overnatninger.

Smidigt och lugnt vid alla gränsbutiker.
