Half a block from the gorgeous Susquehanna River, our beautiful and spacious 3-story home has original artwork and unique touches throughout. Dine in with our newly renovated full kitchen or walk to one of the many restaurants nearby. Our fenced in backyard and seating area is a major plus in the city, not to mention a reserved off-street parking space is included as well. Our house has central air throughout and a supplemental window unit for the 3rd floor loft. The neighborhood: Historic Midtown is the best neighborhood in the city! You'll be staying between the gorgeous Susquehanna river and the historic Broad St. Market. There are many great local breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, an independent movie thearter, and galleries within walking distance. Be sure to venture out on Third in the Burg, the 3rd Friday of each month when local galleries and venues open their doors late into the evening to celebrate the local arts scene. You also are less than half a mile from the absolutely majestic Pennsylvania State Capitol which offers free tours every half hour during the day. Catch a Senators baseball game on City Island or bask in the glow of the fireworks as you sit on the steps along Riverfront Park. Our house is 20 minutes to Hershey Park, 10 minutes from hiking trails, within walking distance to the train station to get to Philly/ New York/ DC etc. You really cannot beat this location! The Master bedroom is blessed with a 4 poster king-sized bed and huge walk in closet. The eastern-facing windows let the most pristine morning light in in the mornings. On the other hand, if you like to sleep in, our black-out shades will keep it dark and cozy. Black-out shades and high-end linens provided in every bedroom. The back bedroom has a queen bed and a smart TV, great for occupying the kids. The loft bedroom boasts a queen bed and a seating area for hanging out separately from the group. The 100% down mattress futon can fold out to become a 4th bed, so luxurious, it may win out as the most comfortable place to sleep in the house. Enjoy some fun in our back game room, outfitted with a foos ball table, child and adult games, and books. The kitchen is newly renovated and fully stocked with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. The bright and warm front dining room has soft and warm morning light for waking up with a cup of coffee in. The living room is super comfy with real leather couches and a smart TV. The full bathroom is spacious with double vanity and shower/bath. Towels provided. Our back patio is elegantly shaded by an ancient maple tree, has a huge dining area, is fenced in and great for dogs and children. The house was so warm and welcoming and within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops and the river front walk. Walking distance to basically everything in downtown harrisburg. Very quiet location. Perfect for a big family! Had the best board games available. The beds were super comfy. The place was spacious and comfortable too. Bea supplied everything we could possibly have needed. The proximity to front street and the river views was also great. We had our pups with us. We enjoyed watching movies and playing games. We have a forever memory as the baby took his first steps! Backyard was a great area for us to smoke cigars and be together cracking jokes and what not. We still have family here but not enough space for 5 of us plus a dog. Bea was amazing. She put up a tree for us and had dog food bowls ready to go with water and treats.Walking the dog on the river front was perfect, although a bit cold.I highly recommend this property and will be sure to book again when i'm back in the area. ##### Kelli G. We had a fantastic time in Harrisburg! His house is spacious with lots of different locations to hang out or find a quiet place to accomplish tasks. The location is perfect for downtown activities in Harrisburg. I would highly recommend staying here. There is a great path, just 100 yards from the house that Goes down the river and you can you walk for miles. It was an extra perk for me! It is also very close to the Capitol. It was very nice and clean. It had toys that my kids loved playing with! The air conditioning kept the house a perfect temperature and the extra window unit kept the top room from getting too hot. It was only a 30 min drive to Hershey. After the first day my daughter said it felt like home. ##### Courtney H. This house in midtown was perfect for us. We loved the neighborhood, especially the fantastic bookstore up the street. The house was very clean and equipped with anything we might need. The air conditioning kept the place cool and comfortable on our 90+ degree days. Special shout out to the excellent water pressure in the shower. Communication with Bea was easy and always prompt. We highly recommend this home for your stay in Harrisburg. ##### K F. The beds in the second floor bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and upgraded. Being an older property, I always worry about the availability of hot water for showers…no problem here. The house was very clean on arrival and the check in and check out instructions were very clear. While parking is a bit difficult immediately at the front door, our hostess has made arrangements to allow guests to park at the corner convenience store a short walk away. While we did not take advantage of it, the third floor loft and the first floor game room with the foosball table make this property a great place for a family with younger children. All in all, a great place at which I would consider staying again. ##### Kevin L. My husband and two daughters (4 and 1) absolutely adored this home!! We are from Philadelphia suburbs and have never really explored Harrisburg. Bea’s location was close to everything we wanted to do - we walked everywhere including Millworks, Home 231, and Little Amps (delicious spots for great food, art and coffee) and then the Whitiker Science Center for a day of fun and learning (this place was amazing and had an incredible kid area for imaginative play!) The Capitol building runs tours every half hr or so and we were able to explore this and so much more with just a few minutes of walking. The home itself was lovely with plenty of room to spread out and relax while not disturbing the kids at bedtime. The home was well equipped with everything we could need in the kitchen and bathroom etc. and the game room was a hit with foosball and board games galore. Lastly, we ended our trip with a day trip to Hershey park which, again, was close by (25 minute drive). Bea’s notes for check in were very clear and the parking was great!
