"It was great that they provided beach chairs and umbrellas for free. First come first serve. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. My only negative is the air conditioner in the room was very loud. I would come back here"

"Always enjoyed our time at the beach. Room met our expectations- our time was mostly spent walking on the beach, thereby we did not take advantage of pool and other amenities. Great vacation spot!"

"Can't expect excellent standards at a motel that must be at least 70 years old. But considering its age, it was very, very well worth the money. The hardwood floors appeared to be new, as was the mattress, the TV, the paint, and the shower. The window AC was noisy, but kept the room artic cold (had to clean the filter screen). I would stay here again."

"This was my first ever Vrbo rental and it did not disappoint. The house and location was the perfect getaway with my two children. If you prefer a small vacation town over the hustle and bustle of a typical shore town or resort, then I highly recommend Harkers Island. The host, Greg and Shelby, were great and made the cottage feel like my own. Any question I had was answered within minutes. Again, this was the perfect house and destination for my one week get-away"
