"I booked a room at this hotel during my pilgrimage. I called and told them that our train arrives at 8 am, we would be checking in very late. I didn’t want a refund, discount, nor to cancel, I only wanted a safe hotel room to sleep in after traveling for 3 days. Upon arrival the man simply screamed at us, “Cancel! Cancel! Cancel!” And shooed is out of his hotel. We were left stranded. To make matters worse, there were issues with my American bank account, so this new room would cut my funds. Hotels.com did absolutely nothing to help. They can’t even refund me. This is absolutely the worst hotel in Haridwar. You’d be more welcome sleeping under the market with the dogs. The stench from their dishonest behavior seeps out their fingers and will infect you. Avoid this place. It is cursed. "

"The staff at Brinjal hotel really made the experience. From greeting me with Chai when i first checked in, to lending me heaters and adapters to charge my electronics, giving me print outs for major site and events to caring when i got lost one night and was late to return to the hotel. As a woman traveling alone in India the staff at Brinjal Hotel in Haridraw stood out as one of the friendliest, most helpful and caring hotels in a month of hotels on India. I highly recommend them!"

"Taj group is known for its great hospitality.But, this hotel pampers you to a different level. Amit, the manager of the property was personally involved in welcoming the guests to giving them a farewell. All the staff are extremely polite and are willing to customise services to your needs. And the hotel stands out for its ambience, cleanliness and great location. It has a private ghat where you can participate in Ganga Aarti and safely take a dip in the Ganges. They have some other activities befitting the place- viz. Guided morning walk on the bank of the Ganges, yoga session, navagraha Puja etc. Live music is also played in the lobby. The room is reasonably spacious and quite comfortable. We had a river view room which enabled us to enjoy the blissful view of the river and the landscape from our balcony.The TV in the room had subscription of all usual channels one watches. The restaurant serves only vegetarian food in line with the pious place. The food quality and the spread in the breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. So we're the bakery items. There is a lounge at the ghat where you can sit in comfort with a book of your choice and the holy Ganges flowing besides you. The hotel has a welcome and a farewell ritual for its guests. Howsoever symbolic the gestures be, they set you in the holy mood of Hardwar Overall, a great stay- an excellent experience worth repeating. "

"The Haveli was a beautiful oasis in Haridwar. The staff were friendly and very accommodating - they made sure that my family was taken care of at all times. Our rooms had a gorgeous patio overlooking the river. The food was delicious and tasted home-cooked. We loved our stay here and hope to come back again."
