Hanshin Koshien Stadium

Superb character and excellent amenities in the room. I was only sorry I didn’t really feel like opening the sake provided. I didn’t realise that traditional Japanese breakfast came with the room and as this is not our thing at all, this was a bit awkward - I should have declined when asked what time we wanted breakfast but we went through with it out of a sense of politeness but did not each much which I think is worse so I apologise to the staff for any offense. They did ask our nationality as we were leaving and I suspect we reinforced their stereotypes of British visitors and food. Beds were very comfy but the pillow was a bit too firm for me.

Amazing hotel that will treat you like royalty. The food is first-class. It is definitely out of the way from the fray. Shuttle will take you to/from the train station. Used a cab twice to get back to hotel as you cannot walk to the hotel. Wish they had a gym. The penthouse suite view and amenities were phenomenal. Would recommend to anyone visiting Nara and wanting a relaxing stay.
